  1. Great story. So Jim got to keep all 4 covers to #1. Did you ask for 1 of them or did you get other later covers, like the #4 you showed recently?
  2. I sold this piece a while ago. I still have a copy of the 1943 Radio Craft Magazine it went to.
  3. Probably depends on the content of those pages. I would think a boring “birth page” is worth less than a great battle page that happens later in the issue.
  4. Yes, any page from this issue with Scream on it is a first appearance page. The page before this one is her “birth page” as some have coined that terminology, it being the very first page in the story she appears on.
  5. Crazy to see some of this, including All American #16 at a rank of 40.
  6. I bought a perfect 9.6 Iron Man #1 for $40 in the 80’s (a lot of money for me back then!). I then accidentally put a 3” tape pull on the top edge of the front cover. My collector friend said he could fix it, so he color touched the top edge. It looked bad, so my other friend said a restorer he knows can trim the top edge off to remove the color touch. So I gave it to him. 4 months later I got the book back. Apparently he took the book apart to trim it, then cleaned it and reinforced the cover to put it back together. Much later, I was sickened by the whole situation and traded it for $120. Last 9.6 sale was $6700. That was the first and ONLY time I tape pulled a book. Lessen learned!
  7. I hadn’t thought of selling it, but I got an inquiry so I thought I’d get some feedback. Venom: Lethal Protectors #4. 1st appearance of Scream. This is the 2nd page she appears on in the book and the 1st page where she fights Spider-Man. I know 1st appearance pages are super expensive and in demand and Scream is also really hot right now with her own title. Art by Ron Lim and Sam de la Rosa. Let me know what you think about it guys. Thank you!
  8. They could be worth more as this copy had Off-White pages. A White paged copy should garner more, in theory.
  9. As you can see, the MH Sensation #26 looks pretty good! I think it's a 9.8. Here's the #25 as well. Most of the Sensation Mile Highs I owned were dripping with ink reflectivity & looked wet.
  10. Keep in mind the Mile Highs have been in circulation for over 40 years now! Some have received bumps and bruises along the way.
  11. The Mile High copy of this book is virtually perfect. Should be a 9.8 from what I remember.
  12. As I was saying, the ASM #18 Sandman page in this auction & the ASM #34 Kraven page that sold last round are on par... and the bidders agreed! Sold for $156k.
  13. I’m not saying shill bidding does not happen. I’m saying OA are one-of-a-kind pieces that are not graded, and subjected to those type of condition manipulations. It is infinitely harder to influence widespread market manipulation on the OA market in this regard. Again, not impossible, just infinitely harder.
  14. I don’t think there’s much of a relation between the two. Sure, you can pump up that one if a kind piece, but it’s not widespread. It only really affects the one piece and may slightly affect similar pieces. There is no grading company to manipulate and you can’t keep pumping out the same piece 50 times a year like you can a mass market item like games and comics. I’m not worried.
  15. Get rest Buddy. I hope you are at 100% real soon!
  16. Thanks! Good info! Whether it's the first poster made or the first commercially available poster you could buy, either way its darn cool in my book!
  17. RARE!!! TMNT poster from 1986 still rolled! I am the original owner of this poster, bought it new. It is still sealed & unrolled or hung. I believe it is the first TMNT poster ever made. The first image is a photo I found on line so you can see what it looks like. The next two pics are the actual poster still rolled with the original TMNT sticker. This may be the only one still in existence that is still rolled in it's original shrink wrapping! $149 +$15 shipping to ConUS. I will send it in a tube! 7 day return. paypal or check payment.
