  1. 1 step further. How many 7 figure sales have there been in OA vs comics? Both are in the 5-15 range as far as I know. I do believe since OA is all one of a kind, the sale of higher end material is less often than comics, but only due to collectors not wanting to sell them, as they may never come back for sale. If you look hard enough I’m sure a 100k+ AF 15, Batman 1 or Cap 1 can be had in a relatively short time, so replacing one isn’t that hard. How many decades does it take to get an OA cover of X-Men 1-50?
  2. The thrill of the hunt, either way you look at it.
  3. Action Comics 158 (Origin retold) would be a good segway from Silver into Gold!
  4. Something about the shape of the head looks off, whoever drew it!
  5. After you buy a press, the next step is going to your LCS and buy at least 1000 junk 25 cent books to practice on. If you are lucky, you’ll only destroy about half of them. Hopefully by press #900 you’ll be good enough to break even on the damage you fix versus the damage you make!
  6. I just watched 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea today!
  7. I'm not sure if anybody even cares anymore, but the "San Francisco" Copy of Superman #4 that just sold on Heritage has a "B" erased just to the left of the logo. Seems VERY unlikely an authentic San Francisco Copy would have a penciled "B" on it. I've seen just about every known SF & I've never seen one with a "B" on it... unless Robert Beerbohm decided to put a "B" on this one for some reason.
  8. One of the first 7 books I read as a kid was inked by Sinnott, Thing #13. I was thrilled to buy a page from that issue a few years back. Joe was the best inker Marvel ever had!
