  1. Did you see that FF1 6.5 was professionally press and it still went strong.
  2. However, some of the QualityComix auction prices on SA books were better than Clink (say, the 6.5 FF #1). That FF #1 6.5 did a lot better than the CL FF #1 7.0 last week fire sale. Also, both copies had great PQ and no chipping. Was last week the great buying opportunity on SA keys? Time will tell. Here's hoping that 4.0 SC #22s start going for $2K sometime soon. I think that Brent got lucky with his FF #1. My guess is that a few people who did not bid on the Clink auction thought they could get another bargain and drove the price up against one another. there was a pretty healthy reserve on the quality copy...it last sold for 12500+ 2 years ago...it sold for 12250 this year...not sure that is a "lucky" sale or not ...seems right in line that FF 1 in 7.0 from clink sold 2 years ago for 15500 and sold for 15250 or so this year...seems also to be right in line... I think both sales were good and possibly under future FMV (thumbs u (thumbs u
  3. Tim should be happy it didn't end last week. Tim will be pleased no doubt. (thumbs u Tim will be happy no matter what.

  5. $60k I'll buy drinks for any boardie in HK if that happens. I'll hold you to it. I buy drinks for any boardie that makes it to HK anyways. GL1 is already near $45K...my target over a week ago was $45-55K. Anybody has a target?

  7. Its not just silver age, moderns and copper keys CGC 9.8`s which were going for close to $300 dollars 6 to 9 months ago can be had for a little over a $100 now. The copper and moderns has been hit for a while already...it some cases, even more severe. If you are looking for some great key moderns, buy now. I'm already beginning to nibble at them.
  8. Prices were down or may I say "crash" across the border for the Silver Age in last week's ComicLink fire sale. The crash is similar to the 1987 stock market crash which was around 25%. It created the buying opportunity for quality Silver Age keys. Also, it is currently a down market. Nonetheless, many collectors of Silver Age Marvel and DC's got affected.
  9. We've sold everything except the 22, paid for the 7.5, and banked some bucks....so let's just be greedy and wait for the right buyer !!! Or we may just pull the 22 and keep it!! I would be greedy on this one. How many copies above 6.0 are at least off/white to white...I have only seen three so far. I'm still waiting to see another 6.0+ white pager or any white pager (there is a low grade one). The bidder knows SC22 is hard to find in off/white to white and this is the highest page quality for any 7.5+ and is unmatched. You may perhap make a new record price. (thumbs u
  10. Showcase 22 7.5 off-white/white may be sold soon. Who wants this great copy, here's your opportunity. http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsearch.asp%3Fwhere%3Dsell%26title%3Dshowcase%2B22%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26ItemType%3DCB&id=835499 (thumbs u
  11. I can't see it being a 6.0 without the missing corner on the back due to the chip out of the top right corner. I would knock it down to a 5.0 starting grade just with the front cover damage, and then drop it to a 3.5 due to the back cover personally. I respect your grade...It would be best to see it on hand. That chip is just too BIG.
  12. AWESOME!!!!!!! thats pretty much my eventual goal (thumbs u Hey Jeff...you're gonna have to ditch that ASM 2 6.5...it's throwing the whole 6.0 collection groove out of whack... and I just so happen to have your replacement copy you can trade the 6.5 for... Exactly.
  13. If it wasn't the chip on the back cover...that book is a 6.0. Regarding that bottom staple: it also goes around the back cover a little. That chip is a bit too much...but that's CGC again. How 'bout the SC22 club gives it a 4.5. (thumbs u
  14. If you are referring to the 7.0 in C-Link with WPs, yes it has one chip as you mention. And one tiny corner crease lower RC that barely breaks color. But I just sold it on C-link this pm. I saw that...it sold in less than five days. What are you going to do with all that extra moola? Congrats. I bet he is leaving AR behind and coming to Fl to goto Disney World ! Were there is a lot of sun and beaches. With WHITE sand? I love white sand... and where the B**CHES are too.

  17. Get showcase22gr1959 (Rich) to change his id to showcase4gr1956, start a thread on it, and the prices will "pump" up to incredible levels. wouldn't that be peachy As kimik and I would say, "until the Flash has a movie".
  18. A dark, low-res scan is a far, far cry from a whole. By the way, we're derailing the shinola out of this thread. We should bring this topic to the AF thread.
  19. I would never take the top copy...I don't do marvel chipping Everyone has his or her preference, but the bottom copy is an easier sale.
  20. So far, the poll is one top one bottom. How 'bout Gator?
  21. size matters too (at least the size of the price ) I think this one has a lot of growth potential, if you know what I mean I know it would do wonders for my libido Bob
