: Wowsers. other than the adams issues- GL looked deader than a doornail Unfortunately, they were. I sold my 8.0 copy of GL #8 for $450 in December within 2 days of posting it on Clink, but my 9.0 (soft 9.0 in my opinion - should have been 8.5 at best) only fetched $593. I should have just listed it on the site instead. I also had the 9.0 #15 (lost money on it), 9.0 #18 (made money) and 8.0 #20 (break even but bought it as a higher grade originally). Looks like the demand for GL is primarily with SC #22, GL #1, GL #7, GL #16, GL #18 and GL #76 right now. Looks like some of the froth is off of the market for now. I think it's just bad timing. An Amazing Fantasy 15 4.0 only sold for $5K. Seems like you do better on just listing it and you can decide the price that suit you.

The CC copy was crm/ow, so you can say it's the highest price ever paid for a 5.0.

maybe at about half that price , imo Maybe even less now after the result for that 4.5 is the current market barometer. We all know well by now that most copies get subbed will most likely be under a 5.0 and any copies above a 6.0 are scarce. You may be right. It will be very interesting to see what this 5.0 may sell for. There has not been a 5.0 up for sale since on Ebay on 10/5/09 for $2751 and the other by Comic Connect on 9/26/09 for $3100.

That's a very high price for a 5.0...too high. Currently it is not going to sell at that $5200 price tag.

A graded CGC 2.0 crm/ow sold on Comic Link for $825.00 on 1/09/10. Thanks, I wonder if it will go for a grand in a year? That recent sale of $825 for a 2.0 is a record price. There's a good possibility that a 2.0 may reach 1K before the GL movie.

I saw that too...that book sold in a flash. Since Disney has finalized the deal with Marvel, there is an uptick for most Marvels keys. Prices are beginning to rise again and these books are very liquid if priced right. In comparison to it's counterparts, DC keys are much more scarce than Marvel keys. Because Marvel has a larger collector base, the demand stampede the supply. There are a lot of good things going for Marvel, but let's just hope Disney does the right thing.

I think so. BB28 haven't move up in prices for the last two to three years, so it's a good time to buy. Prices are just beginning to move up again and any graded copies above 4.0 and especially 5.0 are the area to accumulate. This is a very good long term investment.
