Hi Everyone, Since the Showcase 22 club has been growing and new members increasing, I think it would be a good idea to create our club logo and perhaps make t-shirts. What does everyone think about this? Ideas about logos or t-shirt designs. showcase22gr1959 Richard

that name on the top...looks familiar..ped ped It's Dennis something, I doubt this has been seen around before. It has been sitting at my LCS for a good 6 months until I decided to leap on it when the prices started to rise. Funny too, they told me within a day after I bought it, people were asking where it went. FWIW, I watched a raw 1.5/1.8 walk out the door of a shop last night for $300. There was tape all the way up the spine and I guess a face cut out on one of the interior pages. Still thought that was a steal. There is tremendous amount of news and action on SC22 . Demand for this book stampede the supply. Also, I believe, this book is considered the AF15 for the DC Silver Age.

I think this copy should be valued for $1900-2400. (thumbs u Not with LT/OW pages IMHO. I would not pay more than $2000. You could be right. The last 3.0 LT/OW in Comic Link sold for $1125.00. If anyone can snatch this up under $1900, it would be a bargain.

Very nice 6.5...there is not very many 6.0 and above copies out there. I would value this for at least $7000. (thumbs u cool...I "was" going to offer it for less on ebay, but now I will start out higher (thumbs u That really is a lot! Isn´t it? Better snag your copies of GL #5, #7, and #16 as well right now, before it is too late. I like this exchange picture. If a collector or investor had held on their SC22 for the last 9 months, he or she would have a nice 200% increase at the current market today. For now, I think I will hold on to all my copies for 10-20 years and see what happens. Metropolis, Heritage, Comic Connect, Detective27kid, Harley Yee, Comic Link, Ebay, auctions houses and dealers has sold multiple copies of this book since July 2009. As we speak, we are witnessing descent prices for all low grade copy and especially high grade copies. Dealers are aware that SC22 is in high demand and collectors and investors want to own this book. The 8.0 Mound City copy will set the tone for the high grade copies. I think copies under 4.0 has very little upside in the short term. On the other hand, supplies are scarce for copies 5.5 and above. i think any copy is hard to come by....especially when anything available is being bought up...by us. if you could buy a af15 raw at 10-15 years ago prices....think about that... the supply vs demant is just not there...i just bought 6 raw books from obscure stores across the county....there are only so many books available....i called 150 stores for 6 books. Yeah...and add the fact that if you're looking for one in 6 or better....the list becomes VERY short. And if you need one with decent PQ, the list is razor thin ! SC 22 6.0 and above is like a Hulk 1 because there both hard to find in high grade. I predict SC22 will be worth as much as ASM 1. The 5.0 and 5.5 has almost reached that price poiint of ASM 1 5.0 and 5.5.

that is why I concentrated on 4.0 and up... a 2.0 raw or graded, to me, is the same 2.0.... a gd is still a gd... but, if folks pay a premium, cool (thumbs u Graded copies of SC22 4.0 and up will deserve a premium of at least 2x guide.

I think krytospidey was implying that since his copies are graded it should sell for more than the current OSPG prices. I agree...his 2.0 or 2.5 should sell for more than OSPG since a 3.0 and many other copies recently have sold for over guide. Buying SC22 at guide price is a bargain right now.

Since that 5.0 has off-white pages, I estimate it will sell for $2700-3200. the one I sold for $1500 was ow/w I think Since it's a 5.0 off-white to white then it's definitely a good chance at $3500 now. Well, you still have that 6.5...that the second highest one available for the public.

There has been a recent sell for a 3.0 on ComicLink for $1125..., and of course the 5.5 for $3803.64 on Ebay. Also currently on Ebay there is a 3.0, 3.5, and the same 5.5. Rick has mention he will be listing his 4.0 and 6.5 on Ebay with best offers next week. With the recent supply out in the market, we will have to see how this will play out. (thumbs u IMO both, the 3.0 and the 3.5 look extremely nice for their grade. Especially the 3.0 looks a lot nicer, judging from the pictures. I guess it might have stains or the cover is detached from the top staple or something. Looks better than 3.0 to me I agree with you that they appear better than the grades shown. I guess if anyone planning to bid on them...they should call up CGC for the grading notes.
