Yeah...I looked at it. Look close at the spine and lower left area. Lots of spider webs !! Still nice but not an 8.0. Top and right edges are cut off in the pic...not a good sign... Nice high grade copy you don't see very often. From what I can see, I would not grade it a 8.0...but it looks like a very strong 6.5. For the $900 price, the seller knows what he or she has.

I LOVE where the 5 figures start !!! Your copy is 10%-25% premium...you should know why. My 6.0 white pager is 25%-50% premium...who knows.

pretty accurate, I would say (thumbs u probably the information I need to make a guess on what you got for the 9.0 -- a strong price, but then if 9.0 is the top graded copy, well, I'm not sure $40k or thereabouts is really that high. It's not a CGC 9.0 so it's very speculative. Gator has mention it would not grade less than 8.0 but 8.5 and 9.0 is in the cards. But if Gator says it has a chance of a 9.0 then the probability is there.

indeed I have scans...and I had planned to post once graded (though, I was not 100% sure I would)...after all, folks know I like to share the majority of the books I buy, but there are some that, well, are just for "me"... this may or may not have been one of those, but that point is moot right now... the new owner is a registered member of these boards, I believe We may know and speculate by the census or we may never ever know if the owner keeps it raw....but would definitely be exciting to glance. Detective27kid have seen and own many copies, but was only able find three copies above a 6.0 which truly explain the rarity of high grade copies. Currently, SC22 currently does not exist in 9.2 or better and if no ever copies ever exist for the next five to ten+ years...all members with high grade copies will be well rewarded in the long term. Got my 7.5 re-graded guys. I'm antsy about the prospective (future) grading fees on this book!! I only paid $85 bucks for the Expresso service! It graded a 7.5 OW/W same as before...thank goodness for that !!!!! Keep in mind that I've got raw scans galore of this puppy inside and out! Well, at least it also had a chance of grading higher and higher page quality. I guess the next revised census will show another 7.5. Thanks for letting all of us know. The end is near. Nah, just a breather. This early run up was fueled by long time collectors who grabbed their copies and speculators who stocked up. The big spike in fanboy interest will not hit until late next year when we are closer to the movie. What do you speculate this book would sell next year? 6k? I can´t really imagine a 5.0 ever catching 6k. Although 3 months ago, it even took days to sell 5.0´s for $1100 I think in the very long term (five to ten years) the 5.0 may reach 6K. I think the 5.0 will peak around $3000-4500 the next two years. But for copies above 6.0, prices will rise more rapidly. If the Green Lantern movie does well and if there is a sequel...then of course much higher prices. If SC22 ever reaches SC4 prices, then it is fully priced. It has already surpassed BB28 and Avengers 1 (this is with all the recent sales data for all the copies 6.5 and under)
