I would be very interested to see if he gets that price. this books seems like the AF#15 of the Silver Age for DC. The book is definitely parabolic. It someday may reach Showcase 4 level.

Have we seen your 7.0 I don't believe the club has ever seen Foolkiller's 7.0 off-white copy yet. It would be a pleasure to see Foolkiller's copy since it's in the 6.0 and above club (one of the few which we have not seen yet). You should see his 8.0. Are you saying he's going for the Mound Copy or what....? He was making a joke -- possibly even a double entendre about the size of his wee-wee. Here's the 7.0 o/w -- PM him if anyone is interested as it's "for sale": Absolutely Gorgeous!!! Very nicely centered, sharp colors, and great off-white pages...no kidding why some dealers have offered $8500 for it. Also, the light stress line in Green Lantern's left arm is keeping it from being a 8.0. I value this great eye appeal off-white copy between $10k-$12k and welcome to the five figure club.

I have seen the scans of the SC22 Mound City copy and it looks very accurate as an 8.0. But not being able to examine in person...I will just have to speculate the grading is consistent with SC22. I do agree that books in the 9.2-9.6, CGC are sometimes inconsistent.

Time will tell. 6.0 are considered the VF for SC22. And 7.5 are considered the 9.2 since it's so scarce in high grade.

Hope you received a generous price for it...otherwise you may have to chase it for a much higher price later since it's a 4.5 copy. Seems like all copies available are 2.5-3.5 and are being snatched up like hotcakes in the $900-1400 price range (the more affordable copies). (thumbs u

I think 80k-100k for a 9.2 can be achieved if it's the only copy ever to surface. There may be a 9.2 copy out there, but a 9.4...no way. As I have mentioned before, the black, green, and grey cover will make it nearly impossible to obtain a 9.4. I'll easily offer 60k in a flash. (thumbs u

I agree. Regardless of what SC22 does in terms of value and demand, it's a significant book to own. Currently, it's enjoying a surge in demand and recognition.Also, It's the debut of a great character, not abundant compare to some other Silver Age book out there, and made to a movie. I think people are waiting right before the movie to sell them so they can maximize profits. That's my situation. Guilty as charged, unless I have a change of heart on my raw 4.0. Seems like finding a solid graded 3.0,3.5,4.0 is good enough for some folks. But they are being snatched up like, $1100, $1400, $1700. There is currently very few copies in the marketplace...another price move up...so more supply to come out? Time will tell.
