  1. Maybe it`s just me, but I don`t think it`s such a great copy. Since you have owned a 9.4, I can totally understand and respect that. There are a few small chips on the back cover of this copy. The SC22 8.0 Savannah is a better eye appeal copy and I wouldn't be surprise it will sell 1.5-2.0 times the BB28.
  2. Wow - a recently discovered collection + new pedigree + new movie = price in the stratosphere That copy looks really nice for a 8.0 (thumbs u It's going to be an exciting one to watch.
  3. New one, I wonder. Anyways, here's the next high grade SC22 for sale. It's in the Heritage February Comic and Art Auction and SC22 is in one of their headliners. Showcase 22 CGC 8.0 off-white pages "Savannah" http://comics.ha.com/common/view_item.php?SaleNo=7030&LotIdNo=47011
  4. Good question.... Who bought the clink "Four Color" 24? Did the 22,23,24 all sell to the same person? I don't know much about that Clink sale... I don't know, but it was mentioned here before that a high grade DC collector. I would love to see a better scan of the SC24 9.0 on CL right now. If the seller can provide another scan which is not the original scan from the Ebay...then maybe we all can determine a bit better. For now, I will presume the book has weak PQ. There is a Scan on that listing..below the pictures. I meant besides those scans and the bottom scans is very blurry. Yea..i agree. Not the best scan. On a side note,I just bought a 22 on ebay.... I've been looking for another affordable copy... It was just listed....i had to do it..impulse buy.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=220713399391&si=KnP2IfzNP%252FyZ9n5xYyr9dwGEQPY%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT Looks like the seller priced it at guide. Great score! Hey, if you didn't buy it, someone else would have. Well i got the 22,it was here waiting for me from the mail yesterday. Not bad considering the price, Some moisture staining, worst on the back cover, and a few ripples that i think would actually press out very well....and very nice light page color..Off-White or better... Looks nice and a 2.0-2.5 from the scan. Slight water damage?
  5. It will be interesting to know if this book will get re-holdered or not.
  6. Hopefully not slightly brittle by now. Yeah, downgrade would be a disappointment, but there are a little upside of the recent price paid. Risk and reward 80/20.
  7. Definitely a Showase Green Lantern flip of the month. Yeah, this copy has eliminated me from putting a strong bid and I'm sure others. For me, SA in light tan to off-white pages is not my cup of tea. Also 9.0 to not grow on trees, but I'll be optimistic that another one may be in the horizon. If I haven't went of my 23 8.5, I would have put more thought in securing this copy.
  8. Wow..that tan page SC24 sold for $5400. I'm just amazed someone is going to take the risk or willing to pay that much.
  9. The level of support should be in the $3-3.5K. Well if that's true, and Clink bids have to be at least 50% of listed price, which is $3k of the $6k,i'd say that it's already listed within market area to accept bids, and still listed high for anyone that may come along and feel the need to offer something "stronger"... congrats on the flip. will be interesting to see if it gets resubbed for page quality bump. last chance for anyone...not me. If it was an off-white, I would pay over $6K.

I totally agree...really up to the seller. If the seller wants to make a quick flip with a $3-3.5K bid...but could wait for a stronger offer.
  11. That's true, how can you pay when it's not there. Now they should try to get a hold of the seller and confirm when the book is on it's way to them. At least, this will keep a good buyer informed.
  12. Looks like your SC22 will be shipping separately once they receive it. I'm sure you have paid for it already, but they sometimes require a holding period.
  13. If we wait long enough it might actually fall to reasonable market value! quote=Bob-a-loo]They definitely are headed in the right direction The level of support should be in the $3-3.5K.
  14. well, I sold a book on CL marketplace on 11/28 and shipped the book out right away. The book arrived on 12/2 and no check for me so far....it goes both way as far as the blame for slowness. It's a 30 day+ waiting period to receive payment from them. Is there a certain day of the month that they send all payments, so a certain date people should look for? They pay in the following month from any sale of course, but are their payments sent out at the same time of the month? I used to work for a company that subcontracted with car dealers. Our pay check was monthly and after the third week of the month. The slowest dealers would pay in the middle of each month, for work from the past month. So our employer had to wait pat that to get money to pay our checks. That's what I heard and sometimes changes a little.

  16. If it's a reputable seller, they wouldn't want to loose ties with CL...so they will make good with it. Obviously if the seller doesn't send the book, then there is nothing you can do. At least the word is out that you were the buyer and if this copy shows up somewhere, you can raise hell.
  17. I hope they make every effort to make the deal go fine. Still a bit early, but I know how you feel because I waited so darn long to get my SC23.
  18. In all fairness to him showcase, i think we all just assume that you own every copy of SC22,23 and 24 at this point! Very funny. Now, when is your copy coming to you?
  19. Whoever you are. Let's make a deal and no hard feelings.
  20. Books presents very well. Nice copy Bill.
  21. It sold cheap, was listed at Overstreet 9.0 area.($2166 in 39th and $2479 in 40th) Book was listed with a very underpriced "buy-it-now" from a "collectibles dealer",not regularly a comic seller. It was up for only about 11 hours from when it was in the GPA "items listed" area as "NEW"... thanks. savvy buy, but originally listing it for $9k on clink seems piggish. Maybe, but I guess that's the best part about "make an offer". Who knows,if the book had better page quality,i'm sure it would have already sold north of $5k or $6k or more.... If you look at value's of the other 3rd apperances...showcase 13 for flash, and b&b 30 for JLA,all also have similar low upper census #'s and all have 9.0 sales much, much higher from years ago ...with no recent Gpa either. It's a scarce book, and it may be years before another anywhere close in grade is even available....if ever. Funny thing is,Gpa for Sh 22's,even with Lt pages, isn't far off from current market values, maybe a couple hundred dollars or so.Makes me wonder why the 24 with LT pages seems like it has the plague when its Highest Graded? I agree, if the copy had off-white pages...it would have been snatched. There are 8 SC24 in 8.0 and 4 in 8.5. There is a potential of another 9.0 (potential press).
  22. Book was actually listed Friday, but was edited recently with new pictures, and a lower price,so it must have posted in the "New Featured Listings" again with the edit. Definitely new pictures today up. Looks like the old pictures bloated up. Somethings different, don't think there was a back cover scan before. The scans are still blurry. some improvements.
  23. Ok, but don't tell the Marvel guys. They'll want it too. Hey, I'm a Marvel guy.
