I wonder who bought it? The seller ended the auction and perhaps must have sold it outside of Ebay.

Hard to put a price on it as you said. If the 9.0 had off-white pages, I say $6K+, but since light tan pages, probably $3500-4000. Light tan pages gives me . I paid strong for my 23 8.5. It's much harder to obtain in upper 8.0+ grade and it's the 2nd appearance of Hal Jordan.

I would have paid $3500 for it. Oh well.

The seller priced it according to guide. If any seller priced SC22 at guide, buy like mad.

Way too cheap even for a light tan pages. Anybody here was lucky to snatch it? Looks like it was listed for 11 hrs from what i can tell,not 5hrs..i was wrong there..listed DEC 5th 8:45 sold Dec 5th 19:43... Old label,that's a re-sub candidate. If I have checked for it, I would have bought it for my collection.

I recalled back in 1988 Pacific Comic Exchange had Showcase 22 graded 85 (their grading standards. During that time it was priced for $5000.

+1, Really nice, even for a Mohawk Valley ! () . With just the tiniest bit of tanning, and even with the huge scan (which exagerates all flaws), the #24 looks like a winner. I'd call it 8.5. In hand it may be a 9.0 . I'd submit it. You can always crack it open if you don't like the grade. In fact, why not use a Collector's Society coupon on all three = for 100.00 they all get graded. Now, when is the #23.

That's another beauty. Looks like this copy was stacked nicely in the OO collection since the tanning is minimal. A great shot of a 8.5+.

I don't mean to offend the owner if he is here, but how the heck did that book get a 7.5 with all of that creasing in the bottom right corner? Add in the soft upper corners, creases and light surface rubbing along the spine, what appears to be light surface wear/smudging on the middle of the right edge, and that looks like an aggressive grade to me. I like Brannon's former 7.5 copy better. This copy 7.0.
