  1. Now this one is CRAZY nice. http://cgi.ebay.com/Showcase-22-1959-CGC-Graded-7-5-Green-Lantern-/310276350931?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item483de963d3
  2. Showcase #23? Just what are you guys debating Check this out - from a nice guy to deal with too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350418809468&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_500wt_922 Really hope it sells at that price Going to look like a bargan down the road. I agree. Nice price.
  3. They're all nice. Just some nicer than others Is that what she said.
  4. Thanks for giving hope for my copy. Showcase 24 in whites pages is a rarity and should deserve quantative multiple. I have to say, you have one of the best SC22,23,24 in the world.
  5. Just a group of passionate comic enthusiasts.
  6. I don't see the image yet. I wonder if it's the former 6.5 on ComicLink. It is the same book. I've acquired the book in a trade and am waiting to get it in hand before I post the scan. (thumbs u Wow, this book has been traveling all over the country...world.

  8. In the club, we have mention the average PQ is cream to off-white so if your SC22 has at least that or better it will be a plus. Regarding your SC24, it may grade really high and we would love to see the scan of it someday. SC24 is another book hard to get above 8.0 with great PQ. I have yet to see a SC24 in white pages or even off-white to white pages. I do agree the Keller is a weaker 9.0, but looks better then most 8.5. My 8.5 copy almost had a shot at a 9.0 . I had plans of getting it regraded. But since it's going no where, I'll just leave it as is. I just don't want the risk of more handling. SC22 is the best DC SA key to have. Again, thank you for sharing your beauty.
  9. That's a very nice copy...regardless of the tanning on the edges. From the scan and if there are no other hidden defects, I say it will garner at least a 7.0-7.5. SC22 in this grade don't grow on trees Any plans of getting it graded?
  10. With all due respect to your books, the Mohawk Valley is the worst pedigree ever recognized by CGC. I had a number of books from this pedigree and eventually got rid of them all. None of them graded well as they tended to have that 'burnt' appearance, tanning and very poor page quality. I picked them up in the early 1990's, before CGC, Internet, etc. Structurally, they often looked good, in the 8.5 - 9.0 range but nothing graded higher than 8.0 for me because of the poor interiors. Hard to disagree with Bob, If you're a PQ guy then Mohawk Valley isn't the way to go. In terms of CGC grading I know some early Mohawk Valley DC's were graded by CGC before they were really rough on interior cover tanning and got much higher grades then they would have now a days. Case in point is the Showcase 14 which graded out at 8.5 however with a notation stating "heavy tanning on the edges of the book" on the label. Sure as heck feels like a long time ago when CGC had notations on the label like that as qualifiers. With that said the 9.2 Adventure 247 looked pretty nice though I wasn't a fan at all of the 8.5 Showcase 4. The Showcase 4 8.5 does look great structurally. Books with superior PQ should deserve more recognitions. Just hard to judge a graded book's interior even though it's has a CGC PQ designation because certain white pages presents better than other white pages. Most of my books I get graded are raw and I know it's interior. Just my two cents.
  11. The club would love to see your SC Green Lanterns. You will get great feedbacks here. (thumbs u
  12. RoboJ was switching books as well? How easy is it to do that? Anyone here has bought his graded books and later to find out it's tampered with?
  13. Someone must really wants this book or I see this as a null transaction.
  14. No, I didn't snag it. That was an interesting copy and priced right. I was a bit worried it may be restored (micro trimmed). I personally think it would probably grade around a 4.0-4.5,
  15. Very unique item. I've been contemplating a while back for the one that's been on Ebay but didn't snatch it. As I re-called, it didn't have the full reprint of SC22 right? Correct. The GL story is the "Menace of the Runaway Missile" . No "SOS Green Lantern", no "Flaming Spear". It was just awful back in the day. What was the average punter to make of this new character "Green Lantern"? Just springs into existence, fully formed with no back story whatsoever. Very confusing. Well...............at least it does not have a giant puppet on the cover. Puppet Oh...that darn 7.0 puppets.
  16. Ouch! For fun, I'm gonna get this rusted Duck graded and will post it here again.
  17. Your welcome. Always happy to see a new member or a copy.
  18. Me like the trailer too! Green Lanterns says "Welcome to the club"
  19. but there's all those reports of his shenanigans with raw books Yeah, his graded stuff is definitely more interesting.
