+1 and a really sweet book Jeff despite variations in the resulting scans.Me, too. Just annoyed at the degree of color distortion coming out of a Heritage auction. -
Beauties! Absolutely gorgeous Cap Schomburgs! CongratsI got these nice books from a gentleman in Texas!

I missed getting this one the first time around. Picked it up in the HAG Signature Auction. Delivered yesterday.

I picked up the MMC #75 off the Heritage Signature Auction. It's my Young Allies obsession darn it. Anyone know how many times it's been around? I'm almost certain it was a re-sub with a bump. It recently sold at auction on Comiclink. Anyway, I'm putting it away for a while ... it needs a place to recover.

Nice! I've been looking for a copy of #17 but keep getting better deals on others instead. I never liked Invaders before this year but the covers have really been growing on me lately and i've been getting ones i can find a decent deal on. I have a #1 and a #32 on the way and then a #17 should be next on my list.
Careful ... they DO grow on you. Of course, there are more than several Boardies out there who are not Frank Robbins fans (understatement). A little edgy for some. I'm a huge fan of Roy Thomas and his stories (the Avengers Kree-Skrull wars and bringing the Vision into the picture based on earlier story lines - Wonderman, Ultron 5/6). And then Roy launched The Invaders retro-ing back to the GA and bringing back the other long forgotten superheroes. As some Boardies know, I'm working on my second Invaders set in SS.
Enjoy the collecting!

I'm not really a DC guy in the collecting sense, but that is one really cool cover!! Nice book! (thumbs u

Just back from CGC. Frankly, surprised by the Young Allies #4. Looks better than either the #5 (really brown and chipped edges on the back cover) or #9. It is a really nicely presenting 3.0 with decent PQ. Oh well, it is a crapshoot sometimes.
Sweet!!! Some really nice ones!

Kudos tortoise on the IM #1 transaction! I've not dealt with Mark until recently, and it was great to meet him in person as well. Great guy everyone! He loves his comics (thumbs u

That's a pretty kick arse issue. Very undervalued if its the highest graded copy.
it's not; i have a raw 9.8, or at least i did last nite about 3 a.m. after having to take an ambien
Thanks for the kudos all. However, after purchasing this beauty, I can't even afford Ambien.

Nothing against Don Heck, but Buscema was just better.
Agreed. (thumbs u
+1, although I think that Heck had good stuff, just inconsistent. Some of his panels were fabulous in individual issues and then in the same issue other panels appear to be unfinished, or less detailed (publishing deadlines?). His scale seemed slightly off at times too. Just my

I've had this one a little while (off CL), but couldn't get a quality scan until now. Still having a little trouble with scans. Honestly, the sheen at the bottom isn't oil!
Damn, that's nice.
Thanks. Now, I need to apply for that second job. My GA habit is painful, but I suppose it hurts in a good way.

awesome bookThat skeleton had flesh on his hands still!
Man, that book really comes together. Impressive, and white pages to boot! Although I give the skeleton "tan" hands. Presents a few notches above 7.5 IMO.

Cool stuff everyone!
FINALLY got a copy

Looks 9.4 to me.
Was thinking it might be a re-sub candidate when I wrote my post earlier.

A recent pickup. Over paid but I thought it was nice enough to justify the price tag.
Wow! Perfectly aligned and centered. It's a beauty,Twisty! (thumbs u

Never use to see this book much before but in the last year I have seen a handful of copies surface but this one is defintely tops. BTW was is rarer, harder to acquire, issue #19 or #21?
Gerber index gives it to #21 (I think index is 8, but don't have Gerber handy), but I actually think #19 is tougher to find - although Gerber index is 5 maybe? But I do hope to have a #19 in high grade someday.
Thanks all for the kind words everyone.
