This is one book that I can post in which I won't feel embarrassed compared to everyone else's copy.

Math Teacher...you have a nice collection of Avengers here and zero to be embarrassed about. Everyone is posting up some really cool stuff and weather its low, mid, high or elite grades, they are all the same books. Cool factor maintained. (thumbsu

How does that work with no box?

lolThe USPS box on the right. I've never had issues with the USPS boxes so Ive been using them all along.

That is awesome, purple bubble wrap and a bow! I've used purple bubble wrap for years, but never considered a bow. Do you have special boxes to use?

Thank you. I always place non static packing peanuts to fill up any space within the box as well.

Its barely visible in pic but I use USPS Priority boxes on all orders within the U.S.

  4. Avengers 8 is going to see big gains, especially if the overall perception among collectors and moviegoers is positive. It's a great looking book, it's still somewhat attainable in most grades for many collectors and it has plenty of room to grow, which makes snagging a copy that much more appealing. Will it outprice FF5? Doubtful but then again, it probably shouldn't. Doom is up there with the Joker as far as I'm concerned, in terms of his accolades as a villain. If Marvel plays this right though, Kang could be a well know name just as Thanos is now.

  5. Similar issue here too. I had purchased Batman 102, Batman 102 variants, both in CGC 9.8 ( pre-purchased) and had a similar issue. I waited several weeks after the quoted time I paid for in order to get them back and I sent email after email with zero responses. I called and a woman had answered the phone telling me to reach out to him directly and he didn't answer those emails either. I called back and some guy answers "umm hello?" Yes, I ordered a few books and they are overdue. I haven't received any info on them after several emails and calls. " well, I don't know what to tell ya. I'm at a comic shop right now so I have no idea because that's one of the other sides of our business."

I contacted Paypal and after Paypal had emailed them, Hotshotcomics didn't respond to Paypal either so they refunded the money to my account. Waste of time. I'll NEVER preorder a book again. I'll definitely look up the user account on Ebay if I can and block it.

Well they say She Hulk is going to be a courtroom procedural maybe the Hulk is going to have to get an alien paternity test and pay some back child support? lol The show may suffer from a few too many Jade giants if they do add him in. Abomination, Hulk, She Hulk, Skaar, and whatever other gamma irradiated family/friends show up.

Now THAT would be an interesting episode. lol

I was kind of thinking the same thing and overloading Hulks into one show would likely be a bad thing but then after considering the cost of all that CGI, I'm guessing they'll keep it down to a low count. I know a lot of people were disappointed that Ragnarok didn't go into Planet Hulk's story more (as was I) but hopefully, that's because they had future plans for it. :wishluck:

What if? Planet Hulk was cleared out on ebay overnight now the lowest priced copy is $130. Every modern "key" is hot don't sleep on any of them :screwy:

It's been an undervalued modern key for a while now. We see far lesser moderns crushing $100-150 in 9.8 and they don't have the significance of Hulk's son, who in my opinion, is an interesting character in many ways and he does have a fan following. Prices for both What if Planet Hulk 1 and World War Hulk 5 have idled around 100.00 to 150.00 for the last few years in 9.8. The Hulk's son was bound to take off eventually. Rumor is, he may be slated for She-Hulk on Disney+ but nothing confirmed. Its too bad they didn't delve into the Planet Hulk Story line while Hulk and Thor were on Sakaar in Ragnarok but perhaps they'll elaborate on that a bit further in the future. Had they made a planet hulk movie, these two Skaar books would have exploded long ago.  I do agree though, it does seem like every modern is "hot". :ohnoez:

You have to send it to CCS is all. Joey used to be able to do it but CGC got greedy and cut him out.

Ahhh... so CCS will crack the slab, press it and then pass that along to CGC with notations that it was a pre-graded SS and regrade it as such? I've heard Joeypost was the go-to boardie to press orders but I'm unclear on what they cut him out on.

Long story short, as a newbie at grading, I submitted a book that could have used a clean & press, but I didn't know anything about that then, and got a 9.6. I've since learned more and that there are "pressable defects" that can be eliminated with a clean and press.

I have a 9.6 Secret Wars SS Shooter, Beaty, Zeck. The grader notes say:

Does "spine stress lines" mean breaking color or just detectable by finger? The edge of the comic is off-white and looking the comic through the slab, I personally can't see any breaking color lines.

The current difference between a 9.6 and 9.8 is roughly $500.

Would it make sense for me to have the slab cracked, have it cleaned and pressed, and then re-submitted in the attempt to get a 9.8?

    Many Thanks!

I was under the impression that if you send in an ungraded copy with signatures, that since CGC wasn't there to witness it being signed, it would get a Qualified label. Even though you have the original label that you could include, I don't believe they would accept that. What proof do they have that its actually the same book as the label suggests? I'd suggest calling them and find out what the correct course of action would be in order to avoid any qualified label coming back. As far as the regrading, its hard to say since the detail of the book doesn't seem to show much, aside from the bottom right corner. Personally, I've never resubbed a book but that's just my preference. Many other boardie members have and some with great success but others...not so much. It's a gamble either way. Sigs are well placed though. (thumbsu Good luck!
