I've only submitted five books from my personal collection. All were purchased at the time of release with the exception of the ASM 300 which I bought in the late 90's for $75.
- ADAMANTIUM, Fisionbomb, grendelbo and 2 others

So in that scenario, if I claim the 9.6 value then I would have to submit under the express tier or could I still go through the modern tier?
-
I have submitted books on the boards for sketch opportunities and almost all of them were 9.8/9.6 so I feel pretty confident that they should all hit that range. What would you recommend as an example on one of the books?
-
This is going to be the first time I submit some books to be graded and would like some advise. Here are the ten books i'm going to be sending:
Amazing Spider-Man #238 & 300
Captain Marvel (Vol.8) #14
Incredible Hulk #340
New Mutants #87 & 98
NYX #3
Ultimate Comics Spider-Man (Vol.2) #1
Ultimate Fallout #4 (regular cover & Marko Djurdjevic Variant)
Here's what I'm confused about - what do I put for the declared value? I'm hoping for 9.8's on all of them but they could be 9.6 or even 9.4 (I am getting them pressed first). Do I put in what raw copies are going for or do I put in what I think they will grade out as?

I would like to thank everyone who posted or sent me a message - I really appreciate the feedback.

Need a little help - I have owned this page for over a dozen years and I have no idea what it might be worth. I have had some offers recently, but I don't know if it's a bad deal, fair deal, good deal or a great deal. Does any have any idea what a page like this might be worth? It's from Wolverine #50 by Silvestri and it's probably one of the best pages you can find.

Always loved Mark Texeira's version of Ghost Rider
Really happy this turned out to be a top 5!
And I'm really happy you took the time to get it for me

It changes quite often, but here it goes:
My first sketch op on the boards - Doug Mahnke
Always loved Mark Texeira's version of Ghost Rider
Mike Mayhew goodness
Can't go wrong with Clayton Crain
Love me some Campbell

I have started reading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan - I'm currently on book four and have loved every second of it.
Stop on book four! Seriously! It's all downhill from there.
After The Shadow Rising the dreaded Jordan idiosyncrasies really start to take over. Ridiculous amount of bickering between men and women, two page descriptions of the threadwork on a dress, endless amounts of Shaido killed in battle, new characters introduced with no resolution of old plot threads, trollocks who can slay bordermen taken down by Two Rivers housewives...it just gets ugly. The first three are some of my favorite books of all time, but the sequels are garbage. He should have stopped at Dragon Reborn, would have been a semi-natural close to the series.
That kinda sucks - It came very highly recommended by a couple of friends. I'll give it a few more books as I am enjoying it right now, but if it gets as bad as you say, I'll probably give it up.

Always wanted a Turner sig and I love this cover.

Saw that one in person and let me tell you the pic does NOT do it justice.
Knowing that makes me sad that I won't get to see it for a few months.

Adonis was nice enough to pick this up for me at HeroesCon.

awesome sketch. tex is an amazing artist
He certainly is and my favorite Ghost Rider artist. I just wish I didn't have to wait a couple of months before I actually get to see it first hand.

One of my collecting goals for this year was to get a Mark Texeira sketch. As luck would have it, Mark was attending the Calgary Expo which is a short three hour drive away. Unfortunately for me I had to work that entire weekend, however, one of things that I love about this board is the generosity of it's members. wolf_2099 was kind enough to take time out of his busy schedule to get this sketch done for me, so a big thanks to him.

Bought two raw books - very well packaged and was very easy to deal with. Will definitely buy from again.

What I wouldn't give for a sketch opp by Crain.

I was out and about town today and checked in three different shops - not one single copy to be found.
-
Just checked mine and found the same problem - very weird.
