  1. I want to drop the prices on some items and I want to show the discount from the original price
  2. Now that they’ve opened all the packages what are the odds it becomes a cluster of lost, missing, damaged, and mixed up orders? I’d hate to have six figures worth of belongings there
  3. I haven’t bought any back issues I’m a year or more, and no new monthlies in many years. I still get a handful of trades but thinking of even slowing that down.
  4. I wish there was a way to advertise how worthless all my possessions are for any potential burglars
  5. I never buy comics with investment in mind but if one goes crazy I’ll sell it
  6. Safari is still a little buggy for me but with a few refreshes it works
  7. Biggest sale of the year so far was Akira 1-38 for like $800
  8. I haven’t sold anything to pay the bills but for the past year or so every time I sell something and think I’m gonna spend it on my car I end up spending it on bills anyway.
  9. Do I already own one? If so it’s severely undervalued and about to blow up
  10. Is there one for sale right now? If so it’s not scarce. Can I afford to buy it? If so it’s not in demand.
  11. It’s a scummy thing to do but if Marvel fired him they’d probably have to start firing all the rapists too
  12. I was born in 1980 and my teenager is making me feel extremely not modern
  13. I’ve seen a Bandes Dessinee with the matrix pod right down to all the tubes and the feeding tube thing but it was on a space ship for suspended animation, but there is no way the movie independently came up with the same exact thing down to the tiniest detail. I think the Wachowakis were comic fans so I don’t doubt any number of inspirations from comics
  14. Internet memes? I think every meme on the internet is using someone else’s IP
  15. On Facebook there’s a group called Cartoonist Kayfabe Ringside Seats and there’s an Indian dude in there posting Indian comics all the time. I think mostly in Hindi but that would definitely be the guy to ask
  16. First time I remember getting a comic signed in person was some comic convention, maybe Long Beach or something, early 90’s. It was right before Ultraverse had launched. I had Jae Lee sign an issue of Namor. I wasn’t a Namor reader, didn’t know who Jae Lee was, and bought the issue at the show for him to sign because he was there. Still a cool experience. don’t remember if it was before or after that but one day at the LCS Kris Silver was there promoting Greater Mercury Comics and Silverwolf and had a bunch of comics there. Be hard sold me on the Grips trade when I was like 10 and he signed it and an artist that was with him sketched in it. Pretty sure they signed/sketched an issue of Edge as well. I don’t think the artist was the illustrator for Grips or Edge. the only other comic I’ve had signed in person was the big Xaime book a few years back. Met my favorite cartoonist.
  17. I don’t think Supreme skate decks and Nike sneakers are going to be good long term investments. I’ve been wrong before, but what makes a Supreme skate deck worth 1000+ times as much as a generic skate deck? If there was ever a bubble about to burst I’m sure it’s hypebeast swag.
  18. Around 1991 I left until about 2008, only time I quit comics completely although my enthusiasm for the hobby varies, as does my collecting focus. I’m down to a couple hundred a year on comics, mostly recently printed hardcovers.
  19. Hasn’t pretty much everyone been here 10+ years?
  20. They had top talent and interesting looking titles. I never had even the slightest urge to attempt to buy any of them
  21. If that thing is under $20 I might give it a try
  22. He can’t burn anyone on here anymore and a request from Jimmers goes a long way with me so I say remove him
