  1. I didn't really think about it. I got a PM about a Lincoln hookup, and got the book out the next day.
  2. I will have a pic of my Lincoln in the next couple days!
  3. Silky smooth deal with Dan on a ToTT 44. Couldn't have been better.
  4. I don't charge extra for people using paypal. However, I do charge a flat 5% to guarantee that I don't fart into the shipping box before I seal it up. The fee is entirely optional, but it's highly recommended. According to my assistant, there is a package from you on my desk. Just sent myself an email reminding myself to open it outside.
  5. I'm sorry you paid $350 for a raw 6.0 IM 55.
  6. Just completed a great transaction with Jason!
  7. I reckon you could make me some of them biscuits now.
  8. What up, game players? Sorry I had to bag out, but I would get a little too deep into the hunt when I should have been deep into work.
  9. It is an issue of adherence to the forum rules. To some it is not a big deal, and to others it is. With a group this size, there will never be consensus. Some people are "by the book," others are not. Mix in some inconsistent moderation and you have what we have here.
  10. I honestly think that many people don't understand how many high grade copies are out there.
  11. Although some have dropped back a few pages because the discussion ran its course, these were the more active threads. Copper's Heating/Selling Well on Ebay This one is mainly about how much these books are going to bring in, and for how long. X-Factor 5 & 6 Overlooked and Potentially Undervalued Long/Mid-Term Copper - borderline modern collection...what would you offer? Going to check out a copper collection right now. So, now with Copper being HOT, is it okay to overpay for a Copper collection? It seems to be part of the life cycle of things. If you go back 3-4 years so many of the threads were about finding 9.8 copies of whatever books people were looking for. It was really a fun time. Tracking down the first copies of many different Copper books is something a lot of people here were actively doing. It was competitive, and you also got a lot of encouragement to go out there and keep on pushing. I'm not sure there are too many of those mountains left to climb. When you factor that in and combine it with the fact that most of us are sitting on mountains of Copper, it is sort of logical that the increased interest in the era and spikes in price have become the topic du jour.
  12. It isn't difficult to accomplish and it's the standard way someone sells books from 2 different eras at the same time. 'check out my other thread in bla bla bla'and combine shipping'. I would think the main advantages to combining the sales threads is a shock and awe effect - lots of cool books in the same thread with lots of eyeballs and chatter and of course the possibility of CA/MA catching the eye of a SA/GA collector or the other way around. While I think mods should treat us all the same I don't really care if a seller has a bunch of books in the wrong forum, it just doesn't hurt me. And again... the issue isn't about how many moderns one can push into the G/S/B Only thread. Its how that it's right for any boardie who has clearly violated a stated posting rule, be able to get a retraction of his punishment (the moving of the thread) by simply asking for it... and not be required to change the content of the thread that caused it to be moved in the first place? The moderns in the wrong thread is just a catalyst for the problem at hand. Wait, what's the problem? The guy got his thread pulled for a legit reason, asked for it back, and the mods put it back? WTTB!!
  13. First off, the main purpose of the PL and its related discussions is to get people to make right their transactions gone awry. Secondly, his CAW/Witness status has nothing to do with the HOS. Right now, if you fart at a forum dinner, you can get nominated for the HOS.
