  1. Boner alert, boner alert. Got the humanoid, got the boner.
  2. I knew that was going to happen if Nick saw those. That is just awesome. Full on fanboy alert. My MP collection is starting to come correct. Teaser:
  3. That was for failing to come through on commissions.
  4. Deaf ears? Kind of like Cal posting his upcoming probation bombshell message in the probation list only thread. I guess he thinks the part of the title saying no discussions doesn't apply to him. Your sarcasm detector is broken, genius.
  5. It is in the thread called UPDATED PROBATION LIST. I keep complaining that the title just doesn't do a good enough job of describing what it is, but my complaints fall upon deaf ears.
  6. And my favorite is "cupcake." Used on me in line at a Colts/Chiefs playoff game. I was explaining that either a hangover or more likely a diet prevented me from drinking alcohol, and some random Chiefs Chick who overheard, goes "Just have a beer, cupcake." My buddies still drop "cupcake" on me at appropriate intervals.
  7. "Tiger" and "big boy" also resonate when used properly.
  8. I don't purport to speak for everyone, but in my mind, if you buy a book sight unseen and it comports with the information you were given, that is a deal. I know others won't agree, but that is my take.
  9. I think "sonny" would have been more effective, but that is just picking nits.
  10. But there is a huge difference between "No returns" and "All returns, including buyer's remorse and precipitous drops in value." I have always gone with a "Satisfaction guarantee," meaning that if I did anything - poor packing, missed something grading, missed a crack in the slab - that I would make it right. That could be return and refund or partial comp for the screw up. I am down with any and all of that. I don't know how I would feel about "Hey, I bought this 10 days ago, now there is one on Ebay for $50 less, I want to return it."
  11. What does that have to do with restoration? Nothing. Read the whole post before responding next time. How were those pissy cornflakes this morning?
  12. What does that have to do with restoration? Nothing, but it has something to do with a 100% return guarantee. And the idea that is potentially absolute, meaning that the person could return it because of drop in value, or other things that have nothing to do with the Seller.
  13. I think he was PO'd that Picard signed over his head, so he went straight for Picard's head.
  14. First ever Macklemore reference in the Sig Room. This is f*****g awesome!
  15. I learned that the hard way, by buying the #678 Venom variant for $9, thinking it was amazing flipping for $140, and then seeing it go to $500. Never, ever be upset about 15x on your bread.
  16. Unless they are 9.8's those are $2 books at best. I think if these books are listed as 9.4 or better, and the seller is credible with their grading, they would sell for $5 each. Especially 268. It just can't be a listing with VF-NM as a grade, or someone that posts "I am not a professional grader" as that tosses the excitement factor out the window. When I liquidated all my game used and autographed sports cards back in 2005, I put that in every auction. I facepalm myself.
  17. Wow, I need a book like that You'll never see this one in a bargain basement blow-out!!! I had a book done like that, I think when all the signatures were added up I paid like $500.00. Maybe a little less but I recall it being quite expensive indeed. Congrats on that book man. It got slabbed 4 times and had at least $300 in celebrity fees. But it was a raw book from my longboxes, so that was a plus and it stayed 9.8 the whole way through. Thanks for the kind words. who's the one donkey who signed in black? Lavar Burton. So it is awesome.
  18. That's the reality. Copper X-men print runs are all low to mid six figures, and then we all know what happened in the 90s. Every copper collection has X-Men. I highly doubt there is going to be much difference, but I would go Ebay for the larger audience and the quicker sale. Too many collectors on here either have them, or don't want them.
  19. All your points are irrelevant. If it is true that the person promised the books and didn't deliver, received adequate notice, and never came forth to defend himself, then he goes on the PL. Profit margins, extraneous facts and your desire to see JL devoured by dingos do not matter.

  22. As if I didn't love A. Cretella enough:
  23. I don't usually Spam this thread with my yellow Labels, but this one is two years in the making. Thanks to GACollectibles:
  24. If it's not a big deal, why don't you paypal him the $400 that he lost by not getting the deal? The guy showed up on the Boards pumping his wares, and didn't complete the deal. That makes him eligible for the PL. Now that nomination has about as much substance as a popcorn fart, as he will likely never be back. The rules work the same way for everyone, despite your raging Jimmy Linguiniii boner.
