  1. You are not Canadian, goofball. I suspect that Illinois is a lot like Ohio where verbal contracts are enforceable unless they are subject to the statute of frauds (involve marriage, involve real estate, can't be completed in a year etc.) Man, this is like a bar question.
  2. +1 While I personally believe in applying a "nothing ventured, nothing lost" analysis with obvious doorknobs that show up here, nothing excuses breach of contract or any other scamming behavior. Breach of contract? That's a little over the top isn't it? Maybe. Not in Ohio, where I am from. Offer plus acceptance plus consideration (which includes the promise to pay) equals a contract. Not performing in accordance therewith is a breach of that contract. Why? Do you believe that it is OK, or that it should be considered OK, to back out of agreements like the one in this example?
  3. To be fair to Brad, Holyghost seemed more "challenged" in his posts than anything else. I would have avoided him because I don't have patience enough to ride the short bus to and from a deal. But that's me. Meeting face to face to do a deal should be pretty straight forward. This was the first time Holyghost leveled up from efftard to contract breacher. +1 While I personally believe in applying a "nothing ventured, nothing lost" analysis with obvious doorknobs that show up here, nothing excuses breach of contract or any other scamming behavior.
  4. There is no way that d-bag is going to come back here. And if he does it will likely be one of the Harold Fuller-esque "You guys can't do anything to me" rants. After a day or two of no contact, rack him. Nothing will be hurt by paying lip service to the way things are normally done.
  5. I would never dog Bad Brad. He is the bee's knees.
  6. Holy Shnikeys. Straight to the HOS? Do not pass go, do not collect $200? Do tell.
  7. Actually since you can't know who signed what as the census doesn't give you that info, than even if there is 100 SS for one book, you may still have a one of a kind if those 100 were signed by one creator and yours was the only one signed by another creator. Would that not still be considered one-of-a-kind? NO.
  8. All you have to do to not get owned is actually check the census. If there is a little zero in the column (or a one if it has been updated since your submission) then you can post with confidence. If there is any other number, then you do not have a "ONE-OF-A-KIND CGC SS" and you should not post it here. Although you could post it in the Infiinte Sig Series thread. You have my cell number if you need help folding up a long box.
  9. This lovely lady has now been photographed & will be ready for posting soon. Savvy!
  10. You lost all cred after the leather pants pics started showing up.
  11. Watch it, Dude. Nobody f**cks with the Jesus!
  12. You wouldn't kick 'em out of bed for eating crackers.
