  1. Someone (Buck Biggins, I think) got him to do his 70's style sig on a HOM a couple of years ago. It is amazing.
  2. Are you feeding your hermit crabs french fries? If mutant hermit crabs attack the world, I'm pointing the powers that be at you, sir.
  3. Yeah! I can dig it! OldGuy will poop his pants when he sees this. Richard will you drop me a PM when/if you are selling this?
  4. Amazing that some people can divine the totality of an individual's worth by what they post on a message board. It's real easy to make such determinations based on how the person presents themself on the boards. It's a trap we all fall into at one time or another. After all, for many of us who will never meet and have a chance to know each other, that's all we know about a person. What's more douchey, being an individual_without_enough_empathy on a message board, or forming an opinion about someone based solely on them being an individual_without_enough_empathy on a message board. I'm thinking they are equally as douchey. Jeffro is right, I openly admit I am a douchenozzle of the highest order. The difference is, malice. Maybe malice is too strong a word, so let's say negative intent. I come on here for fun, yes some people get pleasure from constantly being at odds, and needing to always make themselves feel better by correcting and or berating others, but the spirit of my posts are never mean or hurtful. I don't care what anyone says, there are particular people on these boards who get off on bullying others. It's not about thick skin or rolling with the punches, as these azzholes never change their tune. They are so boorish that they need a never ending supply of new members to bother, because anyone here for more than a few months ultimately stops feeding into their sad behavior. Are there anomalies to the rule, absolutely, but from my short experience those are few and far between. Fingh has always been a nice guy to me, ball buster supreme, but never to embarrass or make me feel stupid, and he gave the best, albeit obvious, advice. Use the ignore feature. I know I'm on some people's list from my big mouth, but thats ok. I would use a three thread rule, after someone on you in three different threads, pop them on the list. These are people who you would never ever associate with in the real world, and also the people that wouldn't dare open their mouths to you, if you were standing face to face. I disagree completely. I would never put someone on ignore. I would much rather put them on my watch list, so I can remember them when I meet them in person. Ummm...Chunkybutt, your use of the word "yucky", when describing your drink of choice, does not strike fear in the heart of man! Nonetheless, I still think it crossed the line when you asked me if I thought he shaved his box in that PM.
  5. You can never know anyone from a message board. You can identify characteristics humor, outrage, argumentativeness etc.but when you try to extrapolate who someone is from those characteristics, you will be wrong, particularly if you try to do so from their most unsavory characteristics. People are complex, and this medium is very limited in its ability to convey the complexities of the human condition. Everyone should be very circumspect about making any types of real judgments, whether for the good or for the ill, for those very reasons. The fact remains, however, that if someone is getting under your skin, wearing down your last nerve, and causing you to focus on things other than fun and comics, you should ignore them. For your well-being, theirs and for the Boards.
  6. I see what you did there. "Michonne" rhymes with "the chick you want Rick to bone."
  7. Bought a sweet Wiacek sketch cover from NYComics. Perfect transaction and super fast shipping. Jetpack Cap . . .
  8. Yeah. Tear the roof off the sucka.
  9. These are amazing. Anyone that has looked for Bronze Age obscurities knows that these are so unbelievably tough. Great books, Andy.
  10. I'm almost embarrassed how excited I am about this book:
  11. Those JRJrs were a long time coming! Congrats.
  12. I really need to do that. I was blown away by the covers. He has kind of a Dave Stevens + Bernie Wrightson style.
  13. Was the link so I could cross post my salient insights into television marketing and rock head hit sucking?
  14. Man, you are guzzling the Kool-Aid. I love WD, but that "teaser" was a waste. Hitting two zombies in the head with a big rock. Really? That is supposed to generate buzz? That is supposed to get people who are watching Breaking Bad, one of the most critically acclaimed series on television to watch WD? What was thought provoking, interest piquing, or even entertaining about that segment? AMC completely pissed down their leg with that one.
  15. Bonds25 showing his copy is what got me interested in getting some XT books. It was totally not on my radar when it originally came out.
  16. Rescission is an equitable remedy, and it works in situations where it is equitable to put the parties in the positions that they were in before the formation of the contract. Doesn't work very well here, but you may have gotten a point or two for mentioning it, were this a bar exam question. Or they may have failed you. Either way, kudos.
  17. Ohio law cannot, unfortunately, absolve you of being a dork.
  18. At least as it relates to Ohio, if you agree to buy a widget from me at $100 (and we are not talking about a requirements or an outputs contract) you breach the agreement, and I I sell the widget to mitigate my damages for $50, you owe me the difference or $50. Incidental and consequential damages are on a case by case basis, and judges here hate to award attorney's fees under any circumstances. But the basic measure of damages is contract price less amount realized in mitigation.
  19. The Simon and Lee sigs really look great and enhance that book. I don't feel that way about every modern book, but wow, is that book great looking.
