  1. It was me originally, but have set it up so that Facilitators and/or 'preferably' CGC or myself can take the books and money to Tony. Andrew will be fine at Cincy for anyone wondering...
  2. I still want someone to address this, please? I haven't forgotten you, Ginjy....as soon as I run across a copy, I'll post.... #1 is slightly wider than the rest, #2-#5 are all the same size, and #6 is smaller than all (regular comic size.) Thanks for checking, bud. I cannot explain the #4 that I witnessed, it was like a housebound 900 pound Samoan compared to the other books in the bin.
  3. John Buscema inked by Sinnott. The poster was originally for a 1975 Marvel Convention. Thank you sir. What a great image.
  4. I met her a couple of years ago and she was charming and engaging. Congrats on a great book.
  5. She still looks great!! K-Dog, you need to window bag those books.
  6. Will be putting up some books from 49-51. Mostly westerns, a couple crime books, a Daredevil. All low grade and ready to go. Going to try and work it in tomorrow early afternoon.
  7. Also, since you guys are the only ones who would care, I picked up Joyce Farmer, William Stout and Chester Brown SS books at San Diego.
  8. Make sure it is a first print, Mike. I almost sent my sharp copy in as well, but it is a 2nd.
  9. Your best post EVER! I agree. It's sensational, actually. It's better than the best Tupenny poetry ever written. It's a superb post. It's punk rock jazz riffs taking turns on roman a clef. I don't know about all that. But it has made me giggle intermittently for the last 20 minutes.
  10. Yeah. Probably. But I am talking not talking about scarcity or anything like that. As I also stated, Tony's commissions are more. I think that is a good indication that he is the better artist. Look at these works by Tony: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=758359&GSub=96478 http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=264745&GSub=30529 And compare them to Charlie's work: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=739827&GSub=88280 http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=291119&GSub=45151 I picked two Adlard pages that I like a lot. I think he did a good job on them but I don't think he has Tony's talent. Look at the detail and at the depth in the Moore pieces. Adlard's pieces don't have that finish to them. I think that as time has gone on in the series, Adlard's art has actually deteriorated. People think the heavy use of blacks add tone to the series while I think they are used as a shortcut (to either meet deadlines or to cover up a relative lack of talent). I think that's an indication that he charges more? or did I read that wrong? Tony charged $80 for a long time, then it was $100....the entire time those sketches were reselling for $400-500 on ebay. Now he auctions guaranteed sketches for shows from time to time and they go for $400-700. So no it's not an indication that he charges more, it's an indication of what his fans are willing to pay for them. Recently a TM $100 con sketch sold for 1k. His $100-$200 con sketches are probably the best value i have ever experienced personally in the sketch world.
  11. A couple of onsite additions to my Charlton #1 army:
