  1. is the SIDERMAN AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS issue out of continuity? i dont know, i dont have one. cause thats mid 80's no? wouldnt that be her 1st appearance? It is out of continuity.
  2. I would refund. To me, that is standard operating procedure. Sorry you have to deal with it, though.
  3. So there's regular front cover issues with the Pressman game back covers? True Pressman variants have Pressman ads on the interior as well, Mike.
  4. lol Are you the man for copies of issue #19? Would love to see a picture of like 50+ copies of these laid out. Would be even sexier than some of the pics of #1 issues from Branget. Also special thanks to Branget for my first purchase from him. My 9.8 of #19 is a great addition to the collection. Good mail day for Walking Dead since I got that, some Serbian issues, #50 Superhero Variant and the Weekly #1 Arizona variant. . No nothing like that. Your comments just made me laugh. They sounded kind of wanky. I have my OO copy that is about 9.4 and a 9.8 SS copy.
  5. Not much in the way of traffic on these. The last 9.8 (non-SS) sold in March-2011 for $60. The last 9.6 (non-SS) sold in Dec 2010 for $20The last CGC SS 9.6 sold in Jan 2008 for $31 (shrug)If you want to sell it, I would be interested, send me a PM with your asking price. Michael Turner was still alive when the last CGC SS 9.6 sold, so I think you can throw that price out the window. I got $60 for a random 9.4 Fathom SS'd by Turner last year.
  6. Great transaction. Once you get past all the and the Clooney obsession, Bio-Rupp is outstanding!
  7. Got my book from Chuck's latest thread. As always, top notch service and books.
  8. That would explain the seller leaving his options open and telling me it was still for sale. I don't know if it "explains" it, but it is a risk inherent in any deal that doesn't take place instantaneously.
  9. Realistically, until the check is cashed and the cover is shipped, it is all still up in the air. But, there is a deal in place and it would be shocking if there were a problem at this point. Stranger things have happened.
  10. I am not being sarcastic. It sold for a price that both parties were happy with, and I don't think it will see the light of day for a while. But I have been wrong before.
  11. SillyPuss has gotten bombed with emails. BOMBED. I am amazed there weren't more bids on the auction with all the people that were supposedly in the market for the cover.
  12. you know better little man? Yes. I know much better. It will be delivered to its new dwelling place soon.
  13. They always knew about groundbreaking music first - Agent Orange, Beastie Boys, Slayer, R.E.M. The skaters were way ahead of their time.
  14. There is a human slaughterhouse Up on the hill, the road is red And those who ignore And those who pretend It does not exist End up in its hall My blood goes to work I hear the howl There is a grove of bleached bones Where lupins vomit children's limbs Taking all their liberties With parts of human anatomy And in the hollow of a restless soul Lies no remorse and no disgust Every kill is clean and pure Every thought is cleansed in growls, yeah There is a grove of tortured forms Where all is dark and deeds are foul And those who ignore And those who pretend That the howl is a joke Their children lie dead My blood goes to work I hear the howl And then my blood just goes to work And then I hear the howl (There is a human slaughterhouse Up on the hill The road is red) And then my blood just goes to work And then I hear the howl (And those who ignore And those who pretend It does not exist End up in its hall) And then my blood just goes to work And then I hear the howl Blood just goes to work And then I hear the howl Blood just goes to work And then I hear the howl Blood just goes to work And then I hear the howl And then my blood just goes to work And then I hear the howl This is what all the skaters listened to when I was in high school.
  15. I am curious to see how this holds up. My understanding of the word "astronomical" must be off. I look forward to discovering the cure for cancer tomorrow during an intermittent rain storm of unicorns and doughnuts while negotiating a peace accord in the Gaza Strip and getting blown by Christy Turlington. If you were a woman, I'd let you have one of my babies. mess. If I were a chica, I wouldn't even blip your radar. Best I could hope for would be the Olive Garden and some frottage.
  16. That's not the same book. This is a third blue label NM 98 in 9.9. Can someone google "astronomical" for me? The buyer of the original book at $12,250 PM'd me and asked me to google "gastronomical" for him...is that close enough? Was it to see if it is physically possible to actually eat ones words, and to determine whether that is what is causing the sinking feeling in his stomach?
  17. He's an economics professor at an institution of higher learning. I weep for the future.
