  1. Did you post that same carp about "do whatever you want until I post the game?" You know what you are going to get from these meatsicles.
  2. Bob is right. The market is wonky because of Stan's death, there are not enough recent data points available on GPA, and the old data is just that, old. I'm kind of flabbergasted that the OP has the wherewithal to get the thing signed and slabbed, twice, but can't just figure a price he is comfortable with and sell it. All these posts drip with the exact same paralyzing fear of leaving a tiny scrap of meat on that bone, heaven forfend!!!
  3. I am here. Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair.
  4. For the whole time that I was active, the SS were hand entered on each book - which makes sense. You can have a WD #1 signed by Kirkman and Moore, either of them individually, by any number of TV actors etc. So while they can, by serial number, call up the data on any given book, there is no comprehensive way to gather the information and sort it into what would (presumably) be an entire new database. We used to joke that we (the SS nuts) would all do 12 hour shifts until they were all entered and then try to convince CGC to keep the database going from there. Trust me when I tell you that as long as I have been involved in the program, this issue has been hotly discussed. As to the OP, it would be fantastic if the data were available, it would provide a lot of stability to a pretty illiquid market and it would give buyers and sellers a basic knowledge of the facts of supply of a particular signed book. CGC is not doing it out of spite, or because they don't care - it has always been a business decision for them. How does it increase their bottom line if they allocate resources to this issue? It doesn't. And that has pretty much always been the end of the story.
  5. There may have been three dates (or even 4 dates) but they were all done by either Chainnball or NYComics. And a TON of information is available in the SIg Room. So I can be technically wrong, and for that I am sorry, but I am 98% right. If you want the info, most of it is out there and it comes from from the signing(s) of one of those two facilitators.
  6. The Frazetta books were completed in two signings - one by my friend Brian (chainnball) and a subsequent signing by the guys at NYComics. One in 2009 and one in 2010. Each and every CGC SS Frazetta book came from one of those two signings. There is no comprehensive database for SS because of the difficulty (back in the day) of collecting and summarizing the data. It is possible to track down the information that was put in threads at the time of the two signings by doing searches in the Sig Room. The threads are incredible and so are the books. For any of you that reaaaaaly want the data, most of it is contained in those threads.
  7. He could sign "Snapperhead McGillicutty" and it would look more like a Stan Lee sig.
  8. @BlowUpTheMoon can also change your custom title. Sometimes it takes several PMs for him to do it, so be persistent.
  9. Based on what's been shown on the Boards, Stan had a signing in 2nd -3rd week of October. I'm already preparing for the ghoulish "last signing" advertising and premium . . .
  10. I think the scan has been manipulated to enhance the whiteness. I base this on how light the cgc label looks.
  11. And then will be worth 35% less a year later.
  12. Based on how washed out the label looks, I would say the whiteness has been "enhanced."
  13. You can refer to it as "missing paper" or "large tear through book with missing paper" but experienced comic collectors will see one thing "RAT CHEW!" I would grade that as a 3.0-3.5 b/c it doesn't appear to affect the story at all
  14. Here is a link to my Stan keeper - with Gene Colan, Joe Simon and John Romita http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=4073&GSub=1792
  15. That's cool, but I was more talking about tracking him down on Ebay or Facebook. He has the goods. It will be worth your while. Help this guy out, Dan. @Par2ch
  16. My belief remains exactly the same as it has been for years - there will be an initial spike which will settle down. And over the long run, the books that will do the best will be books that he actually wrote, with tight, clean, well-placed sigs. Moderns that he had nothing to do with and poorly placed sloppy sigs will suffer the most. But i still expect them to always operate at a premium to blue label books of the same grade. And I think that even keys that he had nothing to do with (Hulk 181 NM 98 etc.) will remain with a significant bump over blue or non-Stan SS.
  17. Aside from the first appearance books, I would imagine that they look like relative bargains versus former ugly ducklings turned swans like Ms. Marvel #1, Nova #1, Rom #1, She-Hulk #1, Eternals #1 lather rinse repeat.
  18. Try OnestopComicShop out of Florida. Dan down there has done tons of books with Zeck and Beatty, and MANY of them have been Secret Wars.
