  1. Maybe Dr. Light from the 80's Justice League? I think she was Asian-American.
  2. Always so quick to think the worst of me, Spoon!
  3. I outfoxed myself. I narrowed it to Spawn 1 9.8 and ASM 361 9.6. I used movie hype and general bad grading to convince myself it was the latter. D'oh!!
  4. @ivdyer - Can't wait to see the Dark Helmet sketch that I just KNOW is going on that Vader blank . . .
  5. I think you are dead on with the 9.2-9.4 assessment. Most of the flaws are on the back cover and it looks like a press would get you into the guaranteed 9.4 territory with a shot at the nosebleed grades. Really nice copy!
  6. Horse-like Below the Belt. Drops the Mike. Again. Pat, you will always be The Resurrection. But you can also be Old Fashion PB and J. You probably shouldn't though.
  7. I regret not doing a dozen when I had the chance.
  8. For the guys at NYComics, they probably have/had 20-33 1/3% of the total Frazetta inventory. It is of no benefit to them to give anyone any information, so i suppose that is why they don't put it out there. I'm pretty sure the data for BK's signings is available. He made a thread with a ton of pictures of Frank and his wife etc.
  9. Here is one of the books that has a LT Tan designation. Structurally it is a solid 9.4. http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=3657&GSub=632
  10. Lt. Tan is capped at 8.5. So the first part of your statement is wrong, but the second part is mostly right. I don't recall ever seeing a Cream designation on a 9.8 but have seen many CR-OW which means that at least some portion of the page is cream.
  11. Donger, I can't tell you about the current status of the certified sketch program, but it was valid for several years. I have probably 6 or 7 of them. As you correctly stated, there is no info about certified sketches on the website. And the process was very similar to photo/lobby cards in that (if you were the witness) you filled out all the paperwork with the data and that was what ended up on the Yellow label. That is why sometimes you will see Sketch of ___________ by (Artist), because if the witness put detail on the form as to what the sketch was, it usually ended up on the label. It seems like easy money because they don't have to grade anything, so that makes me think they would still have it available, but that is pure supposition. I hope that you track down some info.
  12. Those make me profoundly sad, but based on value they probably should be in there.
  13. NM 87 is one of my favorites of all time ranging from red to really washed out orange.
  14. Silver Age bags and boards for everything from SA to now. This assures you will not get pressure creases from a tighly packed box with different sizes boards in them.
  15. Is it the centerfold splitting the image without it being a double page splash?
  16. Somebody plucked my Starlin SS 9.6 copy for either $750 or $850 the day of the announcement.
