  1. One of the really interesting things about the Frazettas is the percentage of the total number of books that Makmorn and NYC have. They have almost 25% of the total right there. They have never been available to anyone. A lot of the first ones that were done were sold within the first four months and have never been seen again (let's say another 25%). I usually know where most of the good stuff in SS is, and I have no idea where those books are. There are only 10 listed on MSC, and a lot of times that is good place to get beginning data on rare SS. I think the X factor is that the Frazetta SS interest folks who have no other interest in SS.
  2. No. I will not be cracking any of the 9.8s for more sigs. Too much expense and risk.
  3. I've been waiting for FM a long time, my friend. Time to plot and store away little gems . . .
  4. I think you could get one of the death dealer comics for $1200-1500 no problem. Three or four of those got done. Since they have literally no value unsigned.
  5. That is just my opinion, I don't mean for it come off like a proclamation from on high.
  6. $1500, at least. And the higher grade the book, or the more rare the book is in grade, the more base value I would put on it. So, you may be able to get a 9.8 Blue Vampi #1 for $100, but I think that is a $1500 -1800 book. GPA on a Vampi #1 in 8.5 in 2014 was about $450. RMA got $2800 for his 8.5 Frazetta SS copy. Right around that time, I got an offer of $3500 for my 9.0 with a GPA around $700 for blue. So an absolute beater .5 Thunda or Weird Fantasy book might fetch $1500, but a 5.5 or an 8.0 would see a much greater spread on the "value" of the Frazetta book, because it is a better vehicle for the sig.
  7. Post some more, brother! I have only seen the ones in your magazine set.
  8. I did. The Vampi was my least favorite cover, but I went with it because it was a key. The Vampire - Werewolf battle was the one I really wanted.
  9. I had a Creepy 4 and 7, a Vampi 1 and an Eerie 5 for the first signing. I was very cash strapped at the time and could only do one. I chose the Vampi 1. I wish I could go back in time and get the other 3 done. I eventually got the Creepy 4 and Eeire 5 signed by Jim Warren. I gave the 7 to JJ for Frazetta. I think it is a 9.2. I would really love the chance to buy that 7. I don't know where it is now.
  10. Yep. Crazy high prices. And "flooding" the market seems like a terrible strategy to grossly overprice your books. And yes, they are awesome books. I don't think it is such a bad strategy and here is why: - If you price them at "market" you run the risk of too many of them selling.(I assume that he only wants to move a couple of them, and he is putting the variety out there, so people can choose their favorite cover) - ebay has moved to a BIN based model, so you don't want to start out anywhere but high, then people can make offers into a range that is palatable. - I don't think they are grossly overpriced. I think they are aggressively priced, and based upon their rarity and the really high grades, there is no reason to be anything but aggressive.
  11. The mags, to me are all worth $2000-3500 a piece. The Blue Vampi reprint has the lowest value. I don't know about the Tim Holt, but $5-7k tops is what I am thinking. They are fantastic books.
  12. I think there are great books on both sides of the discussion. It is hard to argue against a really nice high grade photo cover. But there are times where I like to have the celeb sig on the first appearance of the character or other significant issue: There is no right or wrong answer - more personal preference
  13. That ink color looks sweet on that book!
  14. This one dropped a grade, but it is all good!
  15. Cough cough. Once the nomination is rescinded, there is nothing else going on. Nothing to discuss. Unless you are a jackoff.
