  2. Dear Gator, If Wambi was a Jungle Boy, why did he wear a turban all the time? Is it possible that he wasn't a boy at all?
  3. I've never seen that comic before. Let alone one as nice and beautiful as that one. Very unusual art and color scheme.
  4. Andy's awesome. Fast payment on purchases and great to work with. (thumbs u
  5. in the context of comic collecting, a "grail" is an issue(s) of a comic that you most desire above all others, and actively hope to obtain And more accurately, there shouldn't be one on every dealers wall at a comic show either. The original grail wasn't easy to find and it was as scarce as hen's teeth. Dear Gator, Just out of curiosity, what was the original grail? Also, what are hen's teeth? Merci, Chretien
  6. And the Gator is thinking "lower, lower" Do you mean the gator in the picture or the G.A.tor of this thread? I'm leaning toward both.
  7. The colors look especially nice on that copy. (thumbs u
  8. Very nice. I thought you might be after that guy. Beautiful Raboy cover!

  12. Dear Gator, How scarce is the first Tales of Terror Annual? How many copies have you seen over the years?
  13. Dont they sell Porky Pig futures on the stock exchange? I hope so, I've got hundreds of them Let's hope they dont go bellies up! You never miss a chance to ham it up with your puns, do you?
  14. Inappropriate. The picture or the comment ? Both. Now, that's what I'm going to think when I look at that book. And it's your fault.
  15. Just started a thread in the marketplace. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=5045790#Post5045790 Here is a sample

  19. +1. And not for my collection. For yours. (thumbs u
  20. My top 10, from a criteria purely of aesthetic and level of skill are: 1- Frank Frazetta (for his sheer beauty, power, and imagination) 2- Mac Raboy (for the most dynamic and powerful lighting and iconic compositions) 3- Wally Wood (for the detail and attention to line and use of various tones) 4- Will Eisner (for the Spirit, nuff said) 5- Jack Kirby (for his composition and page layout) 6- Alex Schomburg (for so many variations on the superheros during WWII) 7- Lou Fine (for taking the artform to a new level of refinement and for all those Hit covers) 8- Jack Burnley (for his clean clear lines and powerful stances) 9- Matt Baker (for the sexiest and prettiest women and their expressions) 10- Jack Cole (for the roughest, most plastic thinking around) This was a surprisingly hard list to decide as there are so many truly incredible and deserving artists of the time period. We all know who they are but if I had to choose 10 there it is. On any given day, the order of the list might change slightly but that's it.
