  1. It takes alot of wood to scare us woodchoppers, that's for sure. Right Mike! (thumbs u
  2. Hello I hope it was not because of your 1st post on the CAL's Column. Notice the few CGCers that have participated on this Thread... "In the end it is not the voices and shout-downs of our enemies that we will remember; it is the deafening 'silence' of our so-called 'friends'" - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. CAL who had comicdonna's back Did you stop "having" Mike's back when the threat happened? I'm just kidding Cal. Mike, I've got your back too. (thumbs u
  3. Bah! Modern hype. I now demand Snowshoes be a Chew cat!
  4. for a while there (prison and gov'nah arc) there was some great last page in each issue to suck you in for the next issue. to me they aren't as strong anymore. I guess he isn't such a good dairy farmer afterall(milking the drama for all it's worth).
  5. Sounds like Kirkman is a really good writer if he can still get a reaction out of his audience at issue #83. I mean this isn't the first time one of Rick's cabal was blown away. My
  6. I've been really tired of all those variants for a while now(mark my words, it will happen for many graded TWD collectors here too), so by KTTK #2, I was seriously thinking jumping ship. A couple comic con visits to it's creator helped me make my decision easier. (thumbs u
  7. Jerel, I've seen you mention your less than stellar encounter with Mr. Hill. Maybe I missed the actual story but I would like to know what happened. Just curious because I've been very disappointed before To scale how bad it was within the week time frame of seeing him twice. Look at how much I breathed and worked at L&K for three years. Now, look at my sales thread. I'm seriously letting go. No need for a story there. It tells everything. I regret not jumping on a graded Walking Dead focus(damn variants) when I had a chance.
  8. sometimes just disappointing, other times REALLY disappointing...
  9. Morgan is dead now also. How do you like them apples? And it's all color starting next issue with black and white covers. The same issue when they reveal the cause of why the zombies exist. I heard Frank Cho is handling the next Andrea, Rosita and Michonne "car wash" cover(capitalizing on an untapped Zenescope variant craze). Maybe being from New Hampshire I just don't get washing cars in a zombie holocaust, but at least get the suds on the cars and not so much on themselves.
  10. I have heard a little over 3,000 BUT that seems kinda low. I wrote the print run down in one of my sales threads here. It's a little more than 3,000.
  11. It's all in my sales thread. I just quit this title. This will probably be my last post in this thread too.
  12. Yes he did... I wanted that book but spent all my comic funds over the weekend at the Cherry Capital Con. I know there are more of them out there... just have to wait my turn for another! How about a 9.9? That would be fabulous BUT this was a 9.8 SS and you know how I am about SS copies.

  14. Might be more high grade copies entering the market really soon. Not really concerned about losing money, but more, "washing my hands". Stay tuned.
  15. I'm not sure if I agree that L&K had a better chance than Chew. Alot of people don't know this, but Frank Darabont had alot of interest in this before The Walking Dead. But, Joe (rumored) didn't want his involvement, because of majority efforts involving his father's works. Whether, true or not, I'm hoping for a possible movie project from someone as influential. I couldn't see the Locke kids battling Dodge week to week anyway, without looking redundant. If they had a variety of villians working with Dodge, it might have worked better(like Buffy), but this "project" was doomed from get go. I'm just hoping Danny(MutantKeys) picks me up a Joe Hill autographed bootleg L&K promo DVD at SDCC this year. Can you elaborate on this? What do you mean by "majority efforts"? First I have heard of this. I think Frank Darabont has been ultimately the most successful adapter of King's works to film. I am surprised he didn't get the Dark Tower. Like Joe King's pen name, "Joe Hill", he wants to separate himself as far away as he can to Stephen King. Frank Darabont and Mick Garris(an example) shot a whole lot of King movies and mini-series. Joe is more Spielberg-ian, than King anyway. My
  16. I'm on dial-up. Someone please burn whatever this is on to a disc and mail it to me.
  17. Saw a young woman working the register at Market Basket yesterday, sporting the Kinsey Locke look right down to the piercings and hair(it was amazingly accurate right down to the braid). It was like she stepped right out of the comic. She made Sarah Bolger look lazy, with her look. Wish my cell phone had a camera on it and more importantly I wish I was 12 years younger.
  18. thx! as for the other attributes, hey I will overlook a lot (talking ducks with shirts but no pants = winning ) but I don't know, my first impression based on nothing more than the covers was "moody soap opera downer" so I never did buy them. But, I've heard enough people speak well of it - your summary included - that I know there must be some substance. This thread alone makes me willing to give them a try. Agreed...if this book came out today I would probably run from it from looking at the covers. I never knew how much I hated Emo until they gave Emo a name. Back then I paid no attention and Emo was in its infancy and much more rare than it is today. The Crow isn't an Emo story by any stretch but his look and his angst threw gas on the Emo fire. If this book came out today, it would have went in the wrong direction, most definitely. Not only would have Eric had Adam Lambert hair, but most of the cast(including Shelly, maybe even the crow bird too), pictures of Eric & Shelly would have been on every hoodie for sale at Hot Topic, there would have been a forbidden romantic triangle with an always shirtless Fun Boy, the climax would have happened at an abandoned ballet hall, everyone would cry all the time(substituting for rain)...
  19. Just watch the Brandon Lee movie. It's way better than the original miniseries. The Crow: Wicked Prayer was way better than the original movie. Looking foward to the remake too.
