  1. I'm both shocked and appalled! $40!! Now ain't time to sell. Somebody got a good deal. It looks like the actual thicker made first print too (the cover has more of a sephia color). Not the lighter & thinner 2009 SDCC "first print". http://comics.www.collectors-society.com/registry/comics/ComicDetail.aspx?PeopleComicID=137558&PeopleSetID=22115 Click on my link to my graded #4's and do side by side comparisons.
  2. Did I say something wrong? No, I was just in awe of the pin-up art. I've collected a few graded Crow books in my time. Nothing big though. Somewhat of a fan. I can recite every line to the original Crow movie to Wicked Prayer too.
  3. oh how the mighty have fallen I don't regret a single purchase of my L&K collection though Me either. I guess.
  4. That's my favorite cover in the Modern Age and a great origin story to a "likable" scumbag. Guessing $60, . It should be noted this is the dealer I got my #1 CGC 10 from and a cat lover.

  6. Even Layman's Facebook Wall status updates are fun.
  7. worst kept secret in comics Kick-*sp00n* is pretty up there.
  8. I am used to customs messing with my stuff especially packages out of South America and SE Asia. I think they expect it to be a box full of drugs everytime. That or rare spiders.
  9. Not likely soon for all I know. I stopped talking to them eons ago. Very disappointing.
  10. I'm not sure if I agree that L&K had a better chance than Chew. Alot of people don't know this, but Frank Darabont had alot of interest in this before The Walking Dead. But, Joe (rumored) didn't want his involvement, because of majority efforts involving his father's works. Whether, true or not, I'm hoping for a possible movie project from someone as influential. I couldn't see the Locke kids battling Dodge week to week anyway, without looking redundant. If they had a variety of villians working with Dodge, it might have worked better(like Buffy), but this "project" was doomed from get go. I'm just hoping Danny(MutantKeys) picks me up a Joe Hill autographed bootleg L&K promo DVD at SDCC this year.
  11. Oh, I didn't mean sell my set. Just yet. I meant cool movie momentos sold on eBay, like the eBay seller who sells props from the Saw movies. I usually buy Danvers Mental Hospital stuff myself too. Paperwork, office stuff, frontal labatomy tools... Session 9 is one of my favorite movies of all time.

  13. Remember, most comic properties have a built in audience and if not, everyone knows about zombies. It's why Chew and L&K has/or had a daunting task of establishing a unique universe of magical keys/mending cabinets/Drowning Caves/Dodge or cannibalistic mythologies/Poyo/...
  14. No we have to get to the magic, to get the audience. TV has to move fast and furious. But, within budget. It can't meander like TWD.
  15. Kinda in a dark place. Trying to write more positive stuff and Registery Set intros lately. I'm sure talking animals won't fit too well under the Deaf Mute Comics banner. I had one new horror project (based on a NH incident from last year) in the works with another writer, but we couldn't decide how to end it. It's was dark satire on the book publishing business. I have another one about a unique serial killer's MO too. Kinda just started and possible one-shot.
  16. That conflict alone might merit a stand-alone book. Why am I talking like a fortune cookie?
  17. Priorities change, Jay. Whether money or personal. I'm questioning my focus lately too.
  18. I thought I read it on one of the sites, they got right to business. Most say #1-3, but Sam's demise happened after those. Joe always said WTL was the pilot to L&K.
  19. ...and I can totally understand why it couldn't be turned into a mini-series, since the covered WTL #1-6(Sam Lesser was dealt with) in the 52 minute pilot. If they go further they will be in $$$ territory. Open heads revealing countries of your thoughts, armies of shadow creatures, giants duking it out... It's too bad FOX didn't have a safety plan and shot the pilot a little more gradual(they might have been able to do a WTL mini-series that might have led to a series commitment). Right now, no network is gonna jump at an unknown independent comic with an effects budget. Once, Sf-Fy passed, you are gonna lose more of the magical wonder of the property(bad effects or not).
  20. It's true that Sy-Fy was (briefly) looking at picking up both the Event and L&K, but they've since confirmed that they're passing on them both. Tears of joy, Michael, Sy-Fy passed on it, tears of joy. How they do their effects budget scared me the most. Granted, the core story is about a broken family trying to rebuild, constantly bad CG and obvious green screening, would have been too distracting. I'm OK with this remaining a comic series. Granted, I would have enjoyed to see another perspective of it, but I guess it wasn't in the cards.
