  1. What is Zack's obviously preferred way of killing six-year-old Bode Locke if he had a chance as he has shown in the Keys To The Kingdom arc? Zack deapanning, "...I'll kill you some other time. Promise." Never before since Tyler threatening to "Get large" on the Dark Lady in COS #4, has a threat seemed most likely to happen.
  2. What is the spelling error in Locke & Key: Keys To The Kingdom #4?
  3. Trivia time... What Locke & Key book does President Obama make an appearance in?
  4. It's a Hurley beauty. I must like it because it got put in the scantily clad graded Supergirl shortbox. I even have early original art of Doug's too. Permanent pieces in my collection.
  5. An interesting new interview between creators Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez on the subject of TV show.
  6. ...Actually Doug, I love the signed/sketched SS book I just got of yours, "These Terrible Times".
  7. The Anywhere Key is my favorite Skeleton Key so far.
  8. A neat example of writer(Joe) and artist(Gabriel) in sync with each other. Kinsey's attacked thumb's surprised little face. ...and on the next page in a different setting, Brian's shocked face.
  9. I'm saying the same thing with a graded run of The Walking Dead.
  10. It gets filed under the "obsession" category for me to obtain a 9.8 or better one though.
  11. It gets filed under the "obsession" category for me to obtain a 9.8 or better one though.
  12. Yeah, for some reason those books were mauled and not widely distributed.
  13. As long as past personal agendas don't take place. Actually, why don't you stop acting so coquette and say what's truly on your mind. That's why I am still reading this closed matter. Jeff is a great seller on these boards(I have never bought from him, but have been impressed by his wares and wouldn't hesitate). But, I am not interested in seeing him stringed up like a pinata on a Sunday afternoon. He's gonna get enough of a "registry pointage" beating trying to take the top Locke & Key Registry Set spot from me.
  14. OK... Let's try it out. Locke & Key's first set photo.
  15. The first Locke & Key preview came in... Doctor Who Classics #2 on January 4, 2008 and had a print run of 7,229 copies. It was a reprint of one of the Doctor Who Marvel Premiere books from the early 80's. A pretty un-special book, that along with being the only L&K preview that week, with the spelling error, being mostly popular in the UK(Joe is popular there too) and prone to people just not caring to protect them at first(lots of scuffing), finding them in NM/M condition can be a chore. Don't get me started on it's silly variant. Every raw copy I ever got was damaged. The next time you see someone advertise a Speed Racer #1 or Doctor Who #1 as being the the first preview on eBay, feel free to roll up a Speed Racer #1 variant and smack them upside of the head.
  16. Yeah, I'm seeing a definite uptick of all things L&K. A Ghost Key went for $195. I imagine once the production photos come out, prices will rise a little more, not Walking Dead more, but back up around 2008's price realm(which was pretty high).
  17. he didn't lose it. The governor ate it. Never heard of this governor fellow but I heard that Shane started the zombie outbreak Geesh! You guys gonna ruin the Alien visit from the Zantaarr Nebula in issue #75 too. They are the real ones that started the outbreak.
  18. Julio! :raising a mug of beer smiley CGC does not yet have:
  19. He is now known affectionately as "Lefty" to the rest of the Walking Dead troupe. CGC hasn't noted it on the label yet.
  20. "Press Release Kits" I better start saving! ...and congrats!
  21. Yeah, I like my first appearances within the content of a story myself. With 'Vinci, I will always consider Noble Causes #3, a first appearance(because BAM! He pops up in the middle of a story) and not that Savage Dragon or Masters of the Universe stuff. That preview stuff don't belong in Registry sets, IMHO. I don't want to see a Transformers or Spike book in my Registry set, that I have to grade for the sake of having a complete set because of advertisements. Granted, I have the first two L&K preview books ready to be graded when I get better, but that's because I was getting bored and like my other Joe Hill books, they will just go into the shortbox and the excess ones to my friends. In no way, am I gonna submit all 24 L&K books(including variants). There was 36 total preview books that went well into L&K #2's release date. I wouldn't even request the IDW: First 10 Years book, because it's outside the continuity.
  22. Pretty good advice. The production has just started. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/11042/1124560-67.stm
