  1. Yup, those are L&K books to have in the shortbox. Great job! (thumbs u
  2. You are too good to me Jerel. These have indeed found a good home in my Comic Cave. Thank you Jerel! (thumbs u
  3. Yes, yes he does. He uses it to get up to his heavenly Walking Dead registry set.
  4. Which reminds me, Found this at my LCS the other day Looks like a nice, gradable copy. Awesome! I have owned many, many, many of these and yours looks the best! Good luck if you grade it! (thumbs u
  5. It's the second preview of L&K #1, with the spelling error. It ties with Dominatrix #6 that came out that week too. But, most and probably all Dominatrix #6's have severe scuffing on them preventing 9.8's. Cory Doctorow had the lowest print run anyway. Most people don't know it even exists. I'm not collecting the previews. To me they are just advertisements anyway. It's lame to see them get added to sets. But, alot of Modern collectors collect them, so I didn't want to be felt left out(these are cool because the having spelling issues and experimented with Jay Fotos colors, making them more vivid than as muted). It's like owning a piece of an era pre-untested L&K that was rushed out too fast to catch all the editing mistakes. Plus, I wanted to set the record straight on what the actual first 'corrected' previews were, despite what eBay sellers claim(Speed Racer #1, Doctor Who #1, etc.) .
  6. Hi Israel! I'll buy them all! These keys rock! When I saw Joe Hill last Wednesday - he was really excited to see someone with them too! +1
  7. You're Welcome! I gave all my spare Cape variants to all my Joe Hill fans/friends(sans one though. There was technical difficulties with the label Steve that I am gonna fix with my next submission. I thought you wouldn't mind to wait), who might enjoy them as much as I do. A huge thank you to Ralph, owner of Jetpack Comics, for hooking me up with some minty copies too. Out of the three Doc Who Classics #2 in 9.8, I had graded. I gave the third one to the most worthy Dr. Who/L&K fan, that I know, knowing they would treasure it.
  8. Shadow Keys Now For Sale. Signed By Isreal Skelton.
  9. I know, that's a cool Joe doodle book. He doesn't do 'keys' to often afterall. If I was to upgrade(but not now, because I agree, prices are going up), I would go after a 'NH' noted one, where we both live. (thumbs u
  10. If you want to post a picture. I'm always curious after the cabbage I spent on those sets. Thank you, but I lost her in a bitter custody battle with an ex-girlfriend. I'm hoping to get her back some way though(the cat ). Someday.
  11. Alot of #4's are available with Joe Hill's sig on it too, but this was G-Rod's best cover in my opinion and deserving of a lone signature. The #3, another cover where only one sig is needed.
  12. I didn't win that auction, but I bought one of those on eBay a couple days later. I missed the presale, so that was the only way for me to get a G-Rod signed key. Worth every penny IMHO. A truly rare signature to get on your L&K wares to be sure. EvilAsh had a #3 Head Games in CGC 9.6 with his John Hancock on it and I had to have it despite the grade.
  13. WRONG! MadGenius, your opinion on Tyler's choice to wear Uggs for guys?
  14. Soon... Locke & Key Thread Readers, I ask you. Is someone(Ty?) gonna get stranded back in time so Dodge can continue his agenda in the present in KTTK #6 before the Clockworks arc? Mike, your thoughts on Zack going all Tonya Harding on Bode?
  15. Do you really want to be #2 to a canadian? Jeff has mentioned interest in collecting graded Locke & Keys before and the prospect of having a Candian LaFlours(complete with white straw hat) in my review mirror catching up on finding uber books scares me more than catching up to one of his #1 Registry Sets. +1 on Jeff being a cool guy too.
  16. Here's a little trivia fact. Locke & Key #2 was the first issue, I ever flipped through(at Newbury Comics). I didn't get it with Bode playing ghost and I thought the cover was too Caspery for my taste. I put it back without giving it another thought, until I bought a #1 9.9 a couple weeks later to flip (Things starting to heat up for Locke & Key) . That graded book had a "Shining" to it that made me want to give #1 & #2 a shot, after all the hype in the CGC board at the time. After I read them, I was hooked ever since.
  17. Yes you are. This was a post to motivate fellow fans they can do the same. Not to brag. All it took was three years of dedicated searching and loads of patience. All the graded Crow collectors are going "We're gonna need a bigger boat!" now. The only way I'll get the top Registry Set spot now, is if I start dating someone rich like Shakira.
  18. I remember I kept thinking into the Head Games arc, do I want to collect every variant graded? Turns out, I did.
  19. We're not worthy (worship) (worship) JUNK! Just kidding you are the man Nick, thanx for building my own Crow collection. Not one 9.9?
  20. Congrats Jay! I'm glad your Chew set is coming together.
  21. A definite sales uptick going on with raw #1's. ...Rememember, some of the first print's panels were changed in the reprints/hardcovers/trades. It includes some of the edginess from the Willit's house in the first print along with Dodge's intial cameo creepiness is also sadly missing(broken words, leaf crown, etc). This first print is a masterpiece, you can't find in the trades.
  22. That eBay seller has been known to get the occaisional 9.9 Locke & Key #1.
  23. I am not a member of this club. I thought all it was, was just a bunch of Buffy's in it.
