  1. Frozen 2 next year. Winter is coming my friend... Soon that gateway for little kids to break out in song will be back open. I was surprised there was 11 ornaments available this year in the big box stores alone. That makes about 50 Frozen licensed ones for the tree.
  2. It's really simple. If the Justice League chased a red balloon around Paris the Tomatometer would given it 86% and the audience would have scored it at 39%. Same deal if the they opened up a chocolate shop in an eclectic neighborhood.
  3. An amusing SNL sketch tonight about the fed-up Gotham residents venting at Bruce Wayne.
  4. Wally World could very well be the most dangerous place to go today. Picked up a copy of Wind Runner and got the heck out of there in self-checkout. Definitely a busy shopping day. Won't be surprised if there is a news story on it tomorrow. That's why when things settle back down (pre-Thanksgiving, school vacations, etc,) folks will visit the movies more. From where I live, I can't see that happening this weekend.
  5. That I do remember as well. My grandfather spent a lot of time down there.
  6. Yeah, it was crazy. I expected Wednesday to be nuts, but not the Saturday before. Couldn't find a lot of parking spots anywhere. Even at grocery stores. It was like a Nor'Easter is coming.
  7. Yup, I know exactly the one you are talking about. The Pheasant Lane Mall is a class act, compared to the Rockingham, Steeplegate and Mall of NH (which are all but dead.) I usually go to the Hooksett IMAX or the Regal there. A lot closer to home. I'm thinking two Sundays from now of JL, if it maintains enough positive buzz.
  8. Yup, Spit Brook Road was clogged. Regal was fairly empty by glance on the way to South Willow. I'm telling you, NH was bustling!
  9. I'm only live in NH, but I noticed it was really busy in stores and the roads today (most likely for the weekend.) Actually, I thought it was like a Christmas rush for some reason. I was only in the Manchester-Nashua section too. I'm thinking with a lot of the schools on break here and if there are lackluster totals for JL's opening weekend, they might balance out when moviegoers catch up. Let's see what the total is after Thanksgiving weekend. I'm a Disney guy, but I have to admit rather watch JL than Coco, even if there is a Frozen-short attached to it. How's that for positivity.
  10. You have excellent taste in movies, so you are just a reliable as the film critics as far as I'm concerned.
  11. It's the super-doper rare second print. So, I like the ugly barcodes too.
  12. Like "Frozen Fever" in Cinderella, there's definitely been a marketing blitz. Dolls, clothing (new outfits from Elsa & Anna,) Christmas ornaments, books, magazines, etc. From my viewpoint, more stuff than for "Coco."
  13. Isn't "Olaf's Frozen Adventure" playing just before that movie? If so, that's just another thing that will adrenalize it's box-office.
  14. The kid at my job enjoyed it for what it was not knowing any of the characters before. That might be the same with a lot of Nielsen folks. I'm betting there is going to be a Season 2, because of the Marvel/Disney movies/tv crossover promotions they can do in advertisements. This isn't like a Rookie Blue or Last Man Standing type situation. Maybe the quality will increase. It's too bad the interest is gone.

  16. I think should be called "The Guilty Pleasure Thread." Mine being "The 13th Warrior" currently at 30% me thinks.
  17. Gonna pick that one up tomorrow, with her other one "Ingrid Goes West."
  18. Has anyone on here ever said that? Because I'm always thinking that myself.
  19. Kind of Patrick Troughton meets Mork from Ork, Cute, if she can "rock" it.
  20. I figured you would have caught that one. I started out so well watching all the inderendents during the 90's, but I just outright wasted over a decade of watching every funny book movie that came out no matter how bad. Now, I get excited whenever I find something I never watched before. After watching A few Ingmar Bergman movies, revisting the early Hitchcocks, I feel like I wasted my life. Before last Friday, I watched Ghost Rider 2 twice and never watched The Hidden Fortress. That's been remedied now. Good list. Enjoyed The Big Sick. Looking forward to catching a few others when I get time.
  21. The show was so bad, I would rather watch Caddyshack II and chase it down with an episode of Mama's Family.
  22. Just finished the Criterion edition of "Picnic at Hanging Rock." Supposedly, it inspired Sofia's filmmaking. If you haven't seen it, it might be right up your alley. I really enjoyed it.
  23. Still haven't watched it yet. Waiting for the inevitable $5 Black Friday price tag.
  24. $18 on eBay. Perfect condition double disc set. Contains the restored 1929 reissue and original 1925 version. Highly recommended. You probably know this but beware the public domain editions.
