  1. I think I am as well! You have a good one as well! And yes - long love the BATMAN and all the Pre-Robins!
  2. There have been a quite a few 35's out there recently.
  3. It would be worth it!!!
  4. 31 and 35 are my fav covers
  5. Tec #29's are a lot harder to come by too. True very true. Would be such a hard choice to choose...... The 35 cover and splash certainly rock, but the 29 cover and interior art/story capture the essence of the "Dark" Knight if you will 29s way tougher than the 35 for sure...at least you have a 31, Alex I agree with you! Just from a financial state I would make the hard choice easier and go for the Tec 35 before it increases more... but I agree 29 is more of a biggie by all those standards! (thumbs u My 31! It's my personal grail (for now!) don't you ever get off these boards!? I have literally had nothing important to do all night! Might as well talk about my favorite topic COMICS! with people that share my passion!

  8. I don't have a Tec 29 or Tec 35 - But if it were me I would go after the Tec 35 first. I am a huge fan of the cover. Though that Tec 29 is a stunner (and more expensive which is why I would go for after)
  9. Awesome!!!! 'Dre, you are a Bat-a-holic The colors are really nice on that 29...BTW, that 29 is the Diamond Run copy (not a pedigree). I had the chance to buy it raw for $10k three years ago when I bought the #35. Wish I did That would have been a super hard choice! Either way you got a fantastic book though! (thumbs u
  10. Still as sizzling and scandalous as when I first saw it! Wow - can't believe that was for kids.
  11. Nice Michael. Too bad someone didn't have scratch paper handy when this was sitting around I love seeing all the doodles on the comics. So funny to see what it is about. Like 1+5=7 and odd wrong stuff like that sometimes comes up.
  12. Awesome!!!!
  13. That's most likely what she meant!!! Nice find! When it comes to comics I'm 90% superhero related so I am weak on those others. Wow, are those books worth anything? I guessing not that much.
  14. I have said this before on the boards. But my grandmother worked in the drug store in the 1930's and she remembered all the early books that passed through. And yes, she was working there in 1938 when Action 1 came out. But of course she did not keep any of the big books. She read them while working - never bought any. She also said that the superhero books were not the popular ones at the time (late 30's) and that books featuring some animals or "joke books" were the big sellers. I do not remember what the titles were that she said sold the best. But nothing notable (probably why I can't remember them). Some "animal" book called like cats and jammer or something out.
  15. If the two guys in this photo only knew what we know now.
  16. Let me tell you sir....That is one heck of a Pre-Robin. There very very hard to find books. And the grade on yours looks amazing. I have one myself but it is in worse condition than yours (CGC 1.0). So are you thinking about getting it CGC'd?
  17. I believe that is nearmint's site (thumbs u And nearmint needs to update it very soon. Lots of good pics in this thread that I haven't posted on my site yet. Then get busy! Done! Added about 30 pics from this thread to the site. Your website is awesome! (thumbs u
  18. That books looks massive in that little girl's hands! Little girl be careful with that Tec 18 its very valuable!!!
  19. It will be interesting to see what comes out of this. The auction could be real but it just looks incredibly fishy. The fact that it was either canceled or removed a time before makes me wonder
  20. What's the tip-off? ...other than low feedback. And then where did he get a scan of that book? Is this the same guy that when asked before if he would do a cash + trade deal on the 28 he replied something like "No, I already have ever book of the series" or something like that? That auction looks sketchy as all get out - scan looks fake or copied and why is there no back cover scan for a book this pricey? Warning flags all over that auction.
  21. The smell of fresh paper...while also watching cable on TV. Haha yes indeed! Just got dvr and my mind is blown. Never thought I would ever be able to pause live TV! So this was a fun evening reading it side by side. Also notice the white box above the archives book - fresh pair of cotton gloves for the reading. (thumbs u Time for me to get a pair of gloves too. Ahhhh....still can smell that fresh paper. (thumbs u Love reading vintage books. So much fun. (Would be even more fun if I paid sticker price of 10c though - but oh well it is worth it)
