This is my last post ever here. Aces your book is finally in the mail. Goodash/ Steve has no relation to me. If possible, I would like for the mods to close my account. Date stamp of post: 01/09/12 02:27 PM Been 9 days with no Holiday and no book. Maybe he sent it Media mail? Just keeping folks informed. I'm not dying over $20 book although it would be my 1st ASM 55 ever and one of the few SA holes left and would like to read the story...

My understanding is that it includes PM transactions. Further, I think any transaction with a basis here is eligible (the genesis for a number of complaints against Russ/Comic Supply...you advertise here, drive people to your site then rip them off). Correct on all counts! It covers transactions off the boards too (i.e. ebay), as long as both parties are boardies, right? That's the way I understood it to be. +1 I think it would cover eBay since we all have links to our eBay auctions here and even a eBay forum. But perhaps not a purely private transaction like when buying a book in person at a con? If there is no internet track record of a purchase or potential purchase then how can we tell if someone is lying. Anyone could claim so-and-so offered to sell me a book then he backed out.

Pre-sales now? What's that? Does that mean a seller shouldn't list for sale books that are in transit from CGC and he's got the grades and all? And... I've always heard here buy the book not the label... So why not sell the book not the label.

I think I did by mistake. It was like 4AM on the boards last night just before maintenance and I was trying to go as fast through the sales threads as I could to see if I missed anything before I got locked out. I retract my no vote.

I need to hear all the facts from both sides and know what books were involved in the trade before I can form a satisfactory informed opinion on whether or not somebody was screwed or something.

If you submitted it yourself did you see the tape stain? Did it run the whole length of the page?

respectfully disagree. this is a "buy the label" not the book mentality. unless you've got Heritage like scans buying a book that was graded this year was akin to begging for disappointment. i bought a lot of slabs this year and, in my estimation, maybe 1/3 of them looked overgraded in hand. And should this dislosure trail be extended back through the book's entire history? I would like to know especially what mill the paper came from before making a purchase. Some non-woodpulp content measures can make a huge difference. I want to know which Sun went Nova that made the carbon atoms that became the molecules that became the wood that became the paper damn it!!!!! AND WHETHER OR NOT THAT SUN WAS PRESSED INTO A BLACK HOLE!!!!!

I think i bought every other book in that thread. At the time it wasnt on my radar....my run is still without one Have probably sold all the rest at losses by now Yes you did! You got all those 9.0/9.2 Hulks for a discount. <3 I do recall getting the feeling I was trying to rip people off asking $100 over gpa but I knew that issue was rare in HG in the BA Hulk run and time has proven me right.

No it was a raw I picked up. An eBay NM! lmao And unpressed.

Hulk 158 from 2008 At the time only 1 9.4 and 5 9.6s (Mine being the 5th) existed So only half a dozen in high grade, rare for a BA Hulk. I asked $330 on the boards when it came back (only recent GPA sale was $227). Nothing... crickets... not even G-man low ball offer. Threw on the 'Bay for 10 cent BIN listing at $349.99 (GPA shows it at $350) Sold on like the second or Third day of the seven day listing. I see one 9.6 sold since for $550 Too bad someone here didn't invest in it.

Thanks for the input. I thought I was good being a little below GPA on Hi Grade Silver. Maybe just a bad time for higher dollar books. The boards can be notoriously cheap. You know you've priced something at least 50% off if g-man buys it. +1 eBay is my best friend for higher grade slabbed books. I've set twp GPA highs there. You'll never set one here I guarantee it.
