  1. I as well would like to stand behind our overlords mods.
  2. I always provide a tracking number though PM when I mail the package informing my buyer that they should have gotten a tracking number if they used paypal in the paypal email or I give them the number if I manually printed the label. In the case of overseas I provide the custom number which can be tracked online until it reaches the border so they can at least know if there is a delay it's not me. This goes for $20 sales, or $1000 sales.
  3. How long will it be before the PL is too long to fit in one post?
  4. Blow Up The Moon blew up the thread.
  5. I do plan to start a sales thread later tonight or tomorrow with my leftovers from eBay since I won't be selling (much) stuff there anymore. I'm also in the middle of scanning a run of FFs (54 - 77 Ann 5, 6 missing just 1 issue) I hope to have ready by tomorrow or Wednesday. They are grading out to 7.0 - 9.0.
  6. Just wondering if this claim, made here in the probation discussion thread, was going to be substantiated here in the probation discussion thread. When people make claims here they are expected to back them up here. Thanks for always pushing for fair and above board transactions but let it go tiger. They've both posted that a resolution has been reached. If it turned out the alleged $730 sale upon which the resolution was based was fabricated, would that change you mind? Plus, the "tiger" thing is juvenile and dismissive, and it makes you look like an individual_without_enough_empathy. (thumbs u Oh wow such drama. Backing out of deals, faking sales, begging to get off probation...
  7. Perhaps Soup Boy could include the entire message from the beginning. Sorry I removed myself from the subject long time ago, before I agreed to a transaction so I had no idea anything was still going on. Again apparently there are more folks here that know about the situation then I do, I just need to know how to make it right. Again, the book was pressed, graded and sold for around $730ish. It has been past the 90 day mark so I don't have anymore history in feebay. You can access PayPal. Chris (Comix4fun) is likely going to suggest paying the difference to Foxy. I would agree. After he paid pressing and grading fees he lost money.

  9. Communication is key. A buyer putting a bin then disappearing for days or a week or two without any notice as to what's up sucks. Imagine if a seller did that.
  10. I'll be posting some ASMs from 1964 later tonight. Raw and mid grade.
  11. Just be glad he wasn't waiting for Priority tape. That tape was awesome. I'm down to the last few yards on my last roll. The tape still exists...just gotta know who to ask! I asked at my Post office and they said they couldn't give it out anymore. Get some for me.
  12. I'll try to add a couple a "dirty books" next time.
  13. Got word mine shipped on Friday too! 85% happiness quotient on the grades.
  14. I couldn't figure out if the 4% was worked in, or whether it was an add on. "I am asking for 4% for paypal payments." yeah its not 100% clear, but it sounds like the intent is 4% EXTRA. So 3% for paypal and an extra 1% for the seller? It is 4% for international I believe. Not that I'm defending this seller since i don't even know who or what this is about.
  15. When we started worrying about how ups could get off the list before they were even added i started wondering the same thing. Reality is, the probation list is no longer the warning it once was. Its just a strongarm tactic to force someone into completing a transaction. It could serve both purposes, but i guess we as a community have groomed it to operate this way. Your description of the PL as "a strongarm tactic to force someone into completing a transaction" is a good one, and to me that's the virtue of the PL, its supposed to facilitate solutions to problems. Once a solution has been found there is no sense or purpose to it being a warning about anything. If the problems don't get solved a name or names remain on the PL and that stands as a warning to other members. Indeed its a warning in two senses, as its also a deterrent. Well said! Just because it can be used does not mean it always should be used. The knee jerk reaction of someone posted and didn't pay therefore onto the probation list to me is an easy way out for sellers. I offer returns. If a buyer has an issue I would like to know before I spend money to ship the comic. I also do not understand the mentality of now you have to give me your money. In the vast majority of cases the seller appears unharmed. So being on the PL is warning me of what exactly? Seller is not unharmed. Somebody else might have been interested but saw the and closed the thread maybe to never come back and notice it was available again. Worse case is when a buyer likes to bundle a couple of books to combine shipping but notices one of the books they want was already so they decide not to buy anything. But the was a false alarm...
  16. Well I was planning on doing a new selling thread maybe Sunday night. No intentions or planning went into it to conflict with anything.
  17. Does that mean you have to accept anything of that value in trade? I suspect it means you can't just say I got a Hulk 2 I want to trade for a FF 5. You would need more precision. "I have a GVG/VG- Hulk 2 worth about $300 I would like to trade for a FF 5 in GVG/VG- also worth about $300. Willing to throw in some cash if the FF 5 is a bit nicer (VG)." That sort of thing.
  18. Posting dog balls in threads seems to be a one way ticket Oh lord. Forgot about that guy. and it was even better than just posting dog balls... he went back and edited every post he had made to just be pictures of dog balls... and they weren't all the same image either, he had a whole roster to choose from apparently! that was a fun day... I missed that. But it's nice to know some people come to a message board well prepared.
