I thought they hammered tanning pretty good, but Marvel Chipping not so much. BUTM should post his awesome BA double cover Hulk here with the insdie cover 9.6 and the outside 9.4/9.2 (I forget) and the overall grade is 8.5 because of tan pages.

Will it come back as a 9.8 or 9.6? Depends on the amount of tanning, how deep it goes through the paper, what the rest of the book looks like, etc. Impossible to answer. 8.5 is top grade for any book with interior tanning.

That was my thoughts originally. But this number just flipped on GP and was sold tonight on an auction... The case nodules don't look to be modified. I gave it a 5.5 tops. Wow we think alike. I can't believe the grade...

I didn't open it yet. If I submitted this book 5.0 - 5.5 at best.

I understand that everyone lives in their own reality. I understand that everyone thinks that they are correct in their beliefs or opinions. I understand that everything other than mathematical based fact is subjective. I don't pretend that I'm above it. I openly acknowledge that I express my viewpoints as fact and honestly believe that I am right 99% of the time. I'm not a hypocrite. Maybe I can't get over people who sit on their computer to mess on everything. Maybe I'm silly to believe that when Mike's house burned down, or Nik's son was born premature or Beau and Lebowski lost their lives and the boards rallied around them and their families that it's sincere. Maybe I'm sick of hearing from the same members who are always missing in those threads, or the grading contests or the holiday exchanges or anything that supports the "community" aspect of the boards. Maybe they should find something more productive to do with their time in their actual community. Help an old lady across a street, hang missing cat signs or start a fisting club. I'll head you off at the pass before you talk about giving behind the scenes, not needing to participate to be part of the community, etc, etc. This is not a battle I can win since it's based on opinions so I won't try and go back and forth. Maybe I just wanted my opinion to be heard as well. Lastly, the pack posting isn't my opinion it's a fact. Simply spend 10 minutes reading back in the thread and the same 4 or 5 members stack up the quotes against whatever person disagrees. -= Tech Support Needed=- I recently managed to obtain a Microtek Scanmaker i800 plus and am having driver issues, or at least I assume it's the driver when software can;t find the hardware. Win Vista I install the software and driver off the disk that came with it and all I get is the error message "can't find scanner". No luck with VueScan either "can't find scanner". Device manager told me that the device was working properly and when I tried upgrading the diver I got the message I already had the latest and greatest driver installed. I removed the driver and allowed windows to install it's default driver. Vuescan found my scanner and I was able to do one preview scan but when I hit scan the error message "can't find scanner" came back. I removed that driver and download the newest one from the Microtek's website, which appears to be the same as the one disk, and still "can't find scanner"... So is there any work around for Vista (32 bit) or is a upgrade to Win 7 the only answer? --- Sometimes I get a pop up with "code 3 hardware error" along with the "can't find scanner" message as well (only when trying to run the original software, not Vuescan). I also download a couple of driver checkers (DriverDoc and DriverTuner) and when I scan my PC they both say that the driver I have for the i800plus is up to date (as does the windows driver updater)....

If I ever got a 9.8, with my luck I'd be the guy to submit the lone 9.8 PLOD.

The fact he did not pay for the book and tried selling it here under a shill account makes me open to an HOS poll. Since he is on leave now following a strike the question is do we wait for his return day to try getting him over here for an explanation? But overall this has a bad smell. Thanks for the clarification! This does sound HOS worth to me if someone comes back under a shill who has a prior record of shenanigans and does even more shenanigans under the new shill.
