  1. Did you get any PMs from people asking if they were the buyer you were referencing? Have you heard from the seller since posting in this thread?
  2. Jenna Jameson made a movie called Zombie Strippers. That's probably what caused the start of the spike. She's started a lot of spikes over the years....
  3. There are way more than 200 black copies. I assumed me meant 9.8s but he didn't specify.
  4. Fantastic episode! I can't believe the twist with the Governor taking out the whole town himself!! There is no more woodbury vs. prison storyline, only the governor returning at some point to try to get his revenge on Rick and the group. He's not in the recruiting business anymore that's for sure.
  5. It's pretty cool that the Governor has this back story and evolution of character going on; so many times are villains nothing more than cardboard cutouts and props for the protagonists. Looking forward to the last two episodes for this season, and the rest of the Woodbury/prison story arc next season. I'm in no hurry to see this come to a resolution. (thumbs u
  6. Blind them with nostalgia, and sell the drek! Brilliant!
  7. I'd say three bills is not out question for a good rust-free spinner with base and nice top graphics.
  8. I agree with this line of thinking. Milton's a smart guy and puts faith in observables and data. I really hope he doesn't die, I think he makes an amazing addition to the cast. Hated him at first, but now he's grown on me. Milton reminds me of John Ritter's gay character in Sling Blade. Kind of looks like him a little too.
  9. I was just sorting through a pile of about 30 different Whitmans. Got an Addams Family 1 in there that looks pretty nice, a Wacky Races, Funky Phantom, bunch of ducks books, etc., etc. And -- wave of nostalgia alert -- one of them was Hanna Barbara Fun-In with Inch High Private Eye!! I had totally forgotten about that cartoon!
  10. I was thinking of letting you off the hook before you asked to be let off the hook. That kind of ruins my would-be magnanimous gesture. Perhaps I will run a poll in this thread as to what the final fate of the wager should be. Completely up to you. I have three raw books in mind. One if the three can be yours. Oh nice Let's Make A Deal could end up with a zonk! Seriously I'm thinking ASM 300 or a ToT 1 or a Sweet Tooth 1 CGC 9.8 Those are all great books, none of which I have, but I'd feel like an for taking a book from you. Don't worry about it. It's all in good fun. Good Job! Now that that mess is behind us all, what say you lay some odds on any one of the following: 1) Tyreese is a zombie masquerading as a human! 2) Hershel's leg is going to return in a future episode, ready to kick the stuffing out of any human shins it encounters! 3) Hershel turns out to be Merle and Daryl's father! -- I've just got a feeling about these -- PROVE ME WRONG!
  11. It is one thing to take your time and line up a shot, another to be shooting while taking on hostile fire. You take the time to aim and line up your shot while someone else is shooting in your general direction you end up dead. I'm not sure why anyone is attacking their accuracy at all since they managed to put about 150 bullets into Axel and he was lying on the ground most of the time! It's a good thing none of those bullets went through him and hit Carol. Wasn't Maggie hiding behind a file cabinet for a bit? Those things are also very good bullet stoppers! Good points! I was afeared for Maggie since she didn't have a bunch of high grass to shield her like Rick and Hershel did.

  13. I'm offering up my copy of the Gathering Horror, the Warren compendium that was limited to 300 copies and self-sold on ebay over the last 18 months or so. Apparently it's sold out now and there are statements by the author to the effect that there will not be a second print. I'm willing to take the chance (I just have a feeling, I don't know anything; but in any event there are bigger Warren mags fans than me here, so it's all good). So, if anyone is interested in my copy of Gathering Horror for $110 shipped in the US (same price as I offered to an anonymous board member here last month, but who graciously turned it down), then post the little guy or shoot me a PM. Thanks! (thumbs u
  14. Awesome! Glad to see people getting off and not on. I don't see him on the current list...
  15. Part of my territory is LI but that whole island is Wantagh here!
  16. Well, they could always have the zombie virus everyone is carrying just activate without needing to die first.
  17. It's important to separate the "1st appearance" opinion and "actual value" of the comics. The opinion of the market as a whole will determine the demand for such things and thus the actual value. So far, the cameos, previews and ads are very rarely considered the 1st appearance and demand big bucks. HOWEVER, there is nothing wrong with an individual having the opinion that a preview or advertisement is the 1st true appearance of a character. (Hopefully, they understand the market doesn't agree with them and they don't over pay for stuff.) But let them enjoy comics and collect what they like. (thumbs u Agreed. (thumbs u
  18. Hey, those old DC comics that have ads for Action 1 in them just became worth more than Action 1 if we follow this line of reasoning!! And every other comic that has a house ad of an iconic character before their book came out!! Woo-Hoo!! no?
  19. Quoted to point out that there is some content here amongst all the bickering. If there's no other nominating parties that haven't been made whole, then Dimebag can come off the PL.
  20. This statement is 100% not true. Ditto. I just finished about 30 pages of this thread, and if I paused to point out every incorrect statement I read in it, I might not make my dinner reservations!
  21. Is it an indictment of the decompressed comic book story-telling style that they can comfortably fit nine years of monthly stories into 3 1/4 TV series seasons?
  22. yep, she and Carol are locked in a cell for an entire day making no attempt to communicate w/ the rest of the group who are 50 yards away. any scenario in which Lori is still alive would be too stupid for words. Where is her body then Mike? That zombie didn't eat her. That would be lame of Kirkman big time. I want Lori and that annoying baby to die like they are supposed to. in the graves they dug for no reason. when you have to watch a show after the show where the director and creator explain what just happened, that's lousy television. sorry. Still pretty obvious there is a swerve coming. No bodies in a TV show is never sure death. Of course Kirkman and the director are going to make statements like to full the viewers. I am not saying she isn't dead, but I am saying I can see her being alive at the end of this season's cliffhanger. Given the amount of changes from the book, I don't think Robert is the controlling voice on the show, if he ever was. Carol I give 70-30 odds of being alive. Lori, 0%. Did you see that zombie with the distended stomach and the hair on its hands and in its mouth? There were drag marks from where Lori's body lay all the way to where that zombie was sitting with a super full tummy. lori still being alive would be worse writing than the zombie having eaten her whole, and so far that's the worst, most unbelievable element of this season I agree...everything? Femur? Skull? All of it? Rick found that bullet on the ground where Carl originally shot her, but it just feels like a giant plot hole. We've got to see Carol again, though. That I feel is gonna happen. My take on the whole zombie/Lori's body issue was that Glenn was in there first and he had taken Lori's body out to be buried, and T-Dog's too. But, if Carol's body hasn't been found, why is he digging her a grave?
  23. I like Brent and will do business with him regardless of the outcome, but the removal from the PL is pretty simple. If Logan510, who was one of the accusers and he is not satisfied with his results, then there is no current recourse - no waiting period, no voting. Very similar to how another on these boards has not let one individual be removed from PL. IMO, this is a gap in the way it works. If you get on the PL, you should be able to get off the PL. Otherwise what's the difference between the PL and the HoS? EDIT: looking at 2d: "d) If reasonable additional expenses are incurred the accuser may include them as part of the resolution. The validity of "reasonable additional expenses" may be subject to discussion." This assumes that there's a resolution. If someone can just refuse to accept anything, no matter how reasonable, how is it supposed to get resolved? Being on the PL isn't an absolute bar to selling, it's only there to give others a head's up regarding past -hattery by the listed member. They could explain in their sales thread that they are unable to get off the list because the complainant refused to agree to removal after reasonable efforts were made by the offending party, and it would be up to the prospective buyers to decide whether to buy or not to buy. Although in practical terms, a sales thread from a PL member would be thread-krapped rather than just ignored.
