  1. Is it an indictment of the decompressed comic book story-telling style that they can comfortably fit nine years of monthly stories into 3 1/4 TV series seasons?
  2. yep, she and Carol are locked in a cell for an entire day making no attempt to communicate w/ the rest of the group who are 50 yards away. any scenario in which Lori is still alive would be too stupid for words. Where is her body then Mike? That zombie didn't eat her. That would be lame of Kirkman big time. I want Lori and that annoying baby to die like they are supposed to. in the graves they dug for no reason. when you have to watch a show after the show where the director and creator explain what just happened, that's lousy television. sorry. Still pretty obvious there is a swerve coming. No bodies in a TV show is never sure death. Of course Kirkman and the director are going to make statements like to full the viewers. I am not saying she isn't dead, but I am saying I can see her being alive at the end of this season's cliffhanger. Given the amount of changes from the book, I don't think Robert is the controlling voice on the show, if he ever was. Carol I give 70-30 odds of being alive. Lori, 0%. Did you see that zombie with the distended stomach and the hair on its hands and in its mouth? There were drag marks from where Lori's body lay all the way to where that zombie was sitting with a super full tummy. lori still being alive would be worse writing than the zombie having eaten her whole, and so far that's the worst, most unbelievable element of this season I agree...everything? Femur? Skull? All of it? Rick found that bullet on the ground where Carl originally shot her, but it just feels like a giant plot hole. We've got to see Carol again, though. That I feel is gonna happen. My take on the whole zombie/Lori's body issue was that Glenn was in there first and he had taken Lori's body out to be buried, and T-Dog's too. But, if Carol's body hasn't been found, why is he digging her a grave?
  3. I like Brent and will do business with him regardless of the outcome, but the removal from the PL is pretty simple. If Logan510, who was one of the accusers and he is not satisfied with his results, then there is no current recourse - no waiting period, no voting. Very similar to how another on these boards has not let one individual be removed from PL. IMO, this is a gap in the way it works. If you get on the PL, you should be able to get off the PL. Otherwise what's the difference between the PL and the HoS? EDIT: looking at 2d: "d) If reasonable additional expenses are incurred the accuser may include them as part of the resolution. The validity of "reasonable additional expenses" may be subject to discussion." This assumes that there's a resolution. If someone can just refuse to accept anything, no matter how reasonable, how is it supposed to get resolved? Being on the PL isn't an absolute bar to selling, it's only there to give others a head's up regarding past -hattery by the listed member. They could explain in their sales thread that they are unable to get off the list because the complainant refused to agree to removal after reasonable efforts were made by the offending party, and it would be up to the prospective buyers to decide whether to buy or not to buy. Although in practical terms, a sales thread from a PL member would be thread-krapped rather than just ignored.
  4. I thought Shadowman #1 from Valiant was superb. ( good luck finding a pullbox #1 in nm ) Colder #1 from Dark Horse was interesting. WOW The 3 my LCS got were a mess. If anyone finds there even close to NM please tell us about it. I picked through about 10 at Midtown (east side) today to find two that were safely 9.4+ to my discerning eyes. An ugly ulc was to blame for most of the rejects, including some with tiny spine split at the top (what some call a bindery defect).
  5. "Catwoman", do you really think that you'll be able to disassociate yourself from your evil "ex" and carve out your own personal space here on the boards? Especially the way you're going about it by effing and blinding left and right? I'm all for board inclusiveness, but it is just not going to happen here for you. Give it up already! Show some grace (I know, why start now?). Or, if, as many of us suspect, it's actually the "ex" masquerading as you, carry on with your FDQ exit. But, in that case, please pick it up a little as the entertainment value has begun to wane.
  6. My two teenagers would view reading the boards as a punishment! Why anyone would haunt the message boards of their ex is beyond me (assuming I'm reading the lay of the land correctly; no small assumption however since my care level on this "family" drama is about nil). We nerds don't go in for personal family relationship drama much anyhow...
  7. Midtown was knee deep in JLA 12 kiss cover and GL Annual 1s. They had the Aquaman 12 variant behind the counter for $20.
  8. I'm intrigued by this hip new couple to the boards. (not in a Dad&Son way...)
  9. Agree on this one, especially the bolded part. I've always thought boardies should be more protective of their playground and call out overgraders when they see them, thread-krapping be damned. I'm in the minority on that one. Unfortunately, one of the results of the "just don't buy it and move on quietly" policy is that third-rate sellers (or graders if you will) are plying their over-graded wares on the backs of the sound grading reputations of the other members of this board. The end result being that trust is placed where it shouldn't be by some boardies. Oh well.
  10. Or get baited into one anywhere. -slym ( ) I don't want to see anyone 'bating anyone else... slym's a 'bater? This nested quote goes all the way back to t3quila... -slym slym2none did you ever post on the CPG boards? Superpro/Marcus here if so. Replying to a three year old off topic nested post in the probation discussions thread of all places... WTTB!!
  11. Solar 10 didn't have any variants, just a second print that was never highly sought after. I didn't say it was a variant. But the black cover at the time was something unique which was followed very quickly by die-cut covers, different color covers, limited edition covers ect. so Solar 10 wasn't a variant in and of itself but was maybe a catalyst to start the whole thing back in the 90's. .. Well according to some discussions I've read. Someone page Valiantman and see if he can help clear this up or let me know if I'm just puffing out smoke. Punisher War Zone #1, Wolverine #50 and several other die cuts preceded Solar #10 by months. Then you should ignore what I said. Start of the gimmick covers, rather than variants. Maybe. I always thought it was the multi-colored Batman series LOTDK that came out in '89 that started the gimmick cover trend.

  13. He looks a lot like Rick... and he comes with his own Glenn. Apparently the Governor is a big fan of dressing like Han Solo I thought it was Chandler having a "forgotten weekend" with a male prostitute while on holiday in Bangkok! The survivalist gear is just their fetish.
  14. Aw, he'll get around to it. Folks around here are pretty laid back, he can wait 20-30 days before making an appearance and giving his side of the story.
  15. last issue. low print run crappy story. has nothing to do with new X-O relaunch. sell it now before everyone else wises up.
  16. If you give a range of condition on the listed issues, scans aren't strictly required. Something like VF-VF/NM or better would do, rather than G-NM!
  17. I picked up a few comics this weekend: Daredevil 5 F/G cover detached Tales to Astonish 57 F/G cover detached Atom 10 VG+ Buck each!
  18. Hepcat is a girl? I guess that really would make him a . And a touch more eccentric than he already appeared to be. I think Aces is thinking of long-time boardie, Lucy Bop! She was our resident 50s lingo slinging, poodle skirt wearing, hepcat-cool-kittie!
  19. If by "hide" you mean locked and later deleted...then, yes, it will be hidden.
  20. Hepcat, what happened? As soon as Hepcat gets back from vacation, Arch will still be Arch, I guess...
  21. Never end early if you aren't sure of FMV! Unless you don't mind leaving money on the table, that is. Good luck! (thumbs u
