  4. I say he goes on the list just for that girly board name! and here I thought I was being politically correct by not calling it a gay board name! You DO realize that you took the opportunity in an out-of-context way, to say "gay board name". A compulsion, per-haps? It's just repressed anger from when I was a kid and the other kids would call me "Mrwoog-gay-man".

  7. RedHook was responsible for authoring perhaps the single best post I have ever read here. It was the thread investigating whether a particular book was a (I think) Green River pedigree. The post/thread was proposing why he felt a particular book was a GR, and it read like an autopsy/investigation. It's thoroughness and detail made it clear he was perhaps the only person in the entire world who could write up such a post. ...and then he threw a cup of urine on them? With RH, the argument always went to ELEVEN.
  8. Louise got pummeled with a few emails as well when she joined but I think the fact that she has met many board members in person changes their perception. Internet anonymity makes people a lot more brave than face to face. It's like when Bruce Willis and Ving Rhames stumble into the pawn shop and run into Zed and his buddy and the gimp. In this case, your girlfriends have stumbled into the comic-nerd lair.
  9. Don't give in to the temptation to go off course. Wisdom. I think some of the grading could be tightened up - I'm seeing a lot of tanning going unaccounted for . . . Is tanning code for trimming? (Just read Dale's thread in General...)
  10. I can taste the relish, maybe even smell it. But I'm not feeling it! That's just creepy.
  11. True, it's not called Receipt Confirmation for a reason, only Delivery Confirmation. If theft at the doorstep is an issue, that's on the buyer to make the seller aware of the possiblity and to ask for, and pay for, a delivery method requiring a signature. But to give something to the PO and not provide for any tracking and then to just wash your hands of it with a shrug and a "what more could I do?" is not cutting it for me.
  12. I sent it in a cardboard box with a piece of cardboard on each side and peanuts on each side. And 7.9 oz is half a pound. The no tracking is my fault. I ran out of tickets and forgot to add it at the po. And after the transaction is complete, why keep the PM's? You know how many pages of PM's I would have? And I STILL have not heard from the other party. Lets see here. If the guy never got the book how would you call that a "complete" transaction If I sent the comic and the buyer didn't want insurance, after I have shown proof that I sent the comic, what more can I do? What if I had put tracking on it and it still wasn't there? What more can I do? Once it is across that counter at the post office, I can't do anything.....Simple as that Agree. Disagree. DC is for the seller's protection. A simple receipt can be so easily doctored that it's no evidence of anything really. Shipping without DC is a risk for the seller, plain and simple. Takes your chances, takes your lumps.
  13. If you removed yourself from the PM thread, he still has it in his inbox, but he's the only participant. Therefore, if he replies to it it will automatically show as unread: none since he's the only one who could read it and he's read it by virtue of hitting the submit button. Get it? In any event, tsimanga doesn't really strike me as a get a book and then claim non-receipt scammer as you say. It's unfortunate that you didn't add DC to the package, and that's your fault. And if the book's lost, that's your fault as a seller and you should refund his money for your mistake. And next time, add DC and there will be no question who is right and who is wrong. Giving it to the PO without tracking is not enough on your part, sorry.
  14. Russ...you are so full of it. You have a link to your website posted at the bottom of every one of your posts in here. That drives business directly from unsuspecting or new members of this forum to your website. So any member of this forum that has had a problem with you in a sales thread or on your website...IS A PROBATION FORUM LEVEL OFFENSE! So shut the hell up and quit crying about it. And whenever you make a post anywhere in this forum with your link at the bottom of it...people need to be warned about your business practices. I commend those in here that continue to do so. You not only deserve to be on the probation list...you deserve to be prosecuted for theft. And yet you have the nerve to come in here and say that any people who just happen to see your posts should contact you if you still owe them anything. People have been trying to contact you for years, Russ. People can only leave so many messages and send so many emails before they get tired of not getting a response from ComicSupply. And it's obvious that you count on people simply giving up on getting their product or money. It's YOUR job to find out who you still owe product or refunds to and to make every single one of those people whole again. And that includes not only the people on this board that you've screwed out of money, but the various other comic boards that have similar "ComicSupply stole my money" type threads plastered all over them. You're like a cancer to this hobby, Russ. You keep taking money from people year after year. You continue offering the same lousy customer service. You continue to fail to ship the products that these customers have paid for. And yet you still have the nerve to whine about how you're not being treated fairly and how you should be allowed to continue taking peoples money in here. Get it through that impossibly thick skull of yours, Russ. You are not wanted here. I'd tell you to go to hell...but I doubt if even they would want you. That's exactly why we're not going to let it happen. You've screwed the members of this forum over enough. It ends now. You're not going to be allowed to cheat any more unsuspecting members in here. If they see all the warnings that people post about you in your threads and then decide to do business with you, then that's on them. I just hope the moderators realize soon that this forum would be much better off if you simply were never allowed to post in here again.
  15. I would tell the seller I lost my job and ask out; if the seller agreed, end of story. If the seller held me to the purchase, I would complete the transaction and resell the book (taking a loss if necessary). That's just me.
  16. Kudos to Kimik and October_Fire (old school shout out! ) Thanks for the cool books guys!
  17. Never's a long time; how about a week or so? The original deal has been lingering for awhile, what's the rush?
  18. what time? Sometime around 9 pm in the Mixed Age Selling boards. "Meet me in the mixed age selling board at 9 o'clock. Pass it on" Reminds me of that game, telephone. By 9 tonight the message will be "I mixed meat on a board nine times. Pass it on."
  19. Kudos to iggy101us and paperheart for their recent purchases. Hope you like the books guys!
  20. I'll be listing some Deadly Hands and Rampaging Hulk magazines later this week, as well as a Marvel Special Edition 15 and a big lot of MOKF comics.
  21. He also had me pull a book from my ebay store about 2 months ago with promise of payment.I never recieved payment and later sold the book back on ebay. I never committed to buying that book, hmm now I know where all that hostility was coming from. Yes,you did,and you know you did.
