  4. Cool, I'll post scans of the two Bats and the Super Friends that I have tonight, and also check my Superman issues to see if you need those as well.
  5. I've got about five or so that I can scan for you: Batman 307, 308 DC Comics Presents 1 Superfriends ?? couple Supermans
  6. Kudos to tilleycs for recognizing a bargain when he sees one! Thanks for the quick payment Chris!
  7. from the 4 issue series in 1992 (that's Copper right? )
  8. I ran across Whitman Batman 307 and 308 going through a collection. Wondered about other DC Whitmans, and of course I find a complete list on these boards. THIS kind of information is the reason why I like these boards so much!
  9. The board member who owns that AA ashcan (moondog - Gary) seems to know an awful lot about the history of DC comics; have you two communicated with one another? I wonder if he's as knowledgable about the DC premiums as he seems to be about the ashcans.
  10. Ian, This was posted in the Golden Age section. I wanted to make sure you saw this All-American ashcan from 1939! http://boards.collectors-society.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=607172&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1#Post608650 http://boards.collectors-society.com/attachments//607172-All-American%20Ashcan%203.jpg
  11. More kudos to CKB for those lovely Charltons My Vengeance Squad 'collection' is just getting started!!
  12. So, why are you allowing him to pull the mask off the ole' Lone Ranger? This is advice for Newbies, Greg; let's see how they handle these first, then introduce the admonishment regarding LR! (baby steps)
  13. Don't tug on Superman's cape; don't spit into the wind; and don't, don't, don't mess around with Jim!
  14. Enemies have been made. People WILL die before this contest is over. I will wear the entrails of my most hated foes as party attire before the day is done. How's that look working out for you?
  15. Kudos to Lighthouse for his 'timely' delivery of the all-time classic tpb, what was it I ordered again?
  16. Yes, that was my MFC 73, and it earned the 1.0 the hard way: cover detached and soiled, first wrap soiled and taped up, big name in pen on the front cover, other assorted defects. But, it was complete, OW pages if I recall, blue label. I sent it to Matt Nelson and he did some work on it, reattached the cover, wet and dry cleaned, tried to remove the name in pen on cover, some minor piece replacement, etc. Book ended up looking much much better. I traded it raw for some unrestored golden age timelys to a guy in Germany.
  17. I get it, but isn't it really an error of a variant?
  18. Why do I foresee the new owner suddenly selling a single cover version of this one (and getting a single cover CGC 9.2 out of the deal as well)? BEWARE the married cover!!
  19. Another wannabe "Valiant" is the black and white west-coast product, Valiant Efforts. I have issue 2 if anyone wants to make me an offer...
  20. Shock...Outrage...How DARE you lump me in with that gang of reprobates "The Lurkers"??!!??!! What's next? Pimping farm animals??!! (The above is my classless attempt to imitate j-c's tone of righteous indignation) Please continue to so lump yours truly in this cool little (fictional) tale. Thanks Joanna for the laughs!
  21. I am NOT a shill. I did the test see, I bled into the petrie dish and touched it with something hot and my blood didn't jump out of the dish......so, not a shill, right?
