  1. I'd like to have a clause in there somewhere that a breach has been made on the date that the buyer reads a PM and doesn't answer it. That way if my PM is " do you still want this book"... which I don't get an answer to... and if shown as "read"... then in all fairness to me as a seller, that 30 day clock should start right then and there. I mean if he reads it and doesn't respond until 60 - 900 days later, then to me... that a load of hock. I hate Jack had personal problems come up... but the amount of time he had from that first unanswered PM from Dan that he read and didn't answer... to the time he told everyone of his woe, was very unfair to the seller who in good faith held that book. Honestly, if he read the sellers PM's and didn't answer... then backed out... then to me thats a punishable offense right there.
  2. Good on you for keeping a good attitude. Nice to hear. (thumbs u Ive had the same issues with this buyer on CGC and another comic board with buying then not paying. Eventually he payed me for about 1/2 the books and both times it was around $40 or so. He is a nice guy and had never said one even sarcastic comment to me it just drags out every time so I wont let him buy from me know. I think the guy just suffers from wanting to buy more then his pocketbook can allow him. He doesnt think before he leaps. Well here it is after 11 PM EST on Sunday Aug. 21st and still no promised payment from Marvelguy34 for his purchases that he said I would have on Aug. 19th. Also have not received my merch from him that he said was being mailed. Looks like Jason will be remaining on the Probation List. I am going to recommend that anyone dealing with Marvelguy in the future be ready for a long wait for transaction closure and what appears to be the start of many excuses for non-payment. If I don't hear from him by Monday evening, I'm putting his wins back up for sale. I need the income. If he wants off the probation list, he will have to make a charitable donation to The Hero Initiative for the entire amount that he couldn't seem to pay me for ($45) and post proof of it here. Seem fair to me. Applaud that idea! Donation to charity for stuff like that (thumbs u Just an admendment that Marvelguy's name is James/Jamie and not Jason. Confusion abounds with this transaction, kids. I have had the same problem with this buyer twice once here and once another board. I think he is a heck of a nice guy he just suffers from buying more then his pocketbook allows him. The only negative on him is he drags out his transactions and only pays 1/2 the time. I knew he belongs on the PB list, but at least he isnt a like a lot of them are. Sounds like a repeat offender. I don't feel half as bad now knowing I put him on the PB list. Will Marvelguy34 ever pay that $45 to the HI to get back on here? I doubt it. Especially since he won't be getting merch for his money. Which is fine by me since he obviously can't balance his spending habits and life at the same time. I don't need boardies like that on here. If we make these non-payers help the Hero Initiative with donations instead of waiting however long it will take for their lazy arses to pay... I think it will sink in eventually that the boards won't tolerate that type of behavior. I've been reading Spider Dan's tale of woe about waiting months for a boardie to answer him about a book he was holding for him. Then the boardie just backs out of the sale after months of waiting and no contact. To me thats wrong and Spider Dan should do the same thing I did by making the person pay a donation as punishment for doing what they did. Maybe not the entire amount, but I'd say $50 would be fair ( if I remember correctly Dan was holding a $400 book for months so fifty smacks seems generous to me). Would the boardie that has to pay this donation be happy about it especially since the only thing he would be receiving would be the warm fuzzy feeling that you get when you help somebody? Probably not. Would he repeat the behavior that made him have to pay this donation? I'd say never again.

  9. Ahh in all the pages of discussion on the topic of the probie list... I never knew I (the seller) could place the accused on the list. Kinda thought that might be a little bit of a "overstep of bounds". Thanks for the info, comicdonna Soon as I get off the road, I will update, etc.
  10. Well its been over 72 hours with no response to my PM nor the Probation Discussion notice. I would like to request that Marvelguy34 be added to the Probation List until he clears up the failed transactions between us.

  12. Seems like a nice enough fellow. Just hope everything is ok with him.
  13. This is a first for the Rupp to have to do... and I hate to have to... but, its the rules. Just sent Jason aka Marvelguy34 a PM notifying him of my submission of our uncompleted transactions to the Probation Discussions thread. Jason made multiple purchases (totalling over $40) in my Clooneython VI thread that ran through two weeks of June. I, in turn, purchased some Blu-rays from his thread and deducted the cost from what he owed me bringing his total down. This was invoiced to him on 6/30/11. Jason then asked if I'd like to trade more Blu's to bring his price further down, but unfortunatly he had nothing else I wanted. I assumed he would send payment but I haven't heard from him since. I sent one PM on 7/11/11 that was read but not answered. I sent another PM reminder on 7/15/11 that is still marked unread and then another on 7/25/11 that is also still unread. Today I sent him a seperate PM stating that the issue is being taken here to the PD thread. All that said in simpler terms, is that I want him to complete his transaction with me as a "buyer" of my goods and I want him to complete his transaction with me as a "seller" of his goods. If Jason cannot do these things, I regretfully wish to nominate him for the Probation List until he makes good on both purchases and sales. I would like to ask the board how long is an acceptable amount of time to hold this merchandise for him? I wouldn't mind trying to sell it again in the near future... but the merch is his until I hear otherwise. Jason's unpaid for purchases were made in my sales thread here... 17. Perhaps the eBay transgressions could be placed in a seperate thread. Used mainly for "warning" purposes. I've seen a few "warnings" over in general concerning eBay sellers, but once they make it down the list, no one sees them.
  18. Good lawyers will tell you to avoid court at all costs if you can work it out. Good lawyers
  19. If its big enough to get a lawyer... I'd go ahead and sue for costs.
