I read it, enjoyed it for what it was... and now its just taking up space. Once you read it, maybe you can pass it on to one of the other guys that didn't get their copy... maybe it will make its way back to me sometime in the future. Whatever Jay's issues are for not getting you (and the others) the copies that you all paid for, will hopefully be recitified soon.

If it were as easy as that sir... then wouldn't the vote be 100% Green, 0% Rupp? I made $30 minus shipping by selling to Kawfeadikt... I lost $130 by not selling to Green. I stand by the rules of my thread... so much so it cost me $100. Thats $100 that I need. I can't say anything more to prove my integrity to you. No sir I'm not going against the community... of what is now? 36 or 37 people? With a 60 / 40 split? Maybe I'm newer here and Green just has more friends than I do? Maybe the 16 or 17 votes I have are mostly from dog lovers who really think that I have a cute puppy. I would like to think they see my rule was in place and really think that Green should have just taken the 2 minutes it would have taken to post those signs and avoided all this. There are thousands of members here 8mile... get them to all vote and then tell me about the "voice" of the community. Had Green completed the transaction by doing what was asked of him... politely I might add... then he would have had them. It doesn't matter that I said "sold" to him. Our conversation was in a PM and first TRUMPS ANY & ALL PM'S. Sure you can disagree with that if you want. You can't disagree with the fact that we were talking in a PM, dealing in a PM and coming to terms in a PM. Unfortunatly for Green, first trumps all PM's 60% of people who voted think thats wrong and I respect their opinion. But since it's my sales thread and my rules... then my opinion in how I would have looked to Kawfeadikt by backing out of a deal he made with me (by following the # 1 rule of my thread) was more important than Green's feelings since he couldn't follow my posted and requested rules. Just beg to differ 8mile. Hope you take the time to put that chip off your shoulder towards me and my fast food loving friends and join us at about 10pm est when I start my Silver Age readers sale back up. 8mile I do appreciate your concern for Green and your immediate "fling" of the probation thread. Perhaps you care more for the rules of this board than you previously acted like you did in our last conversations. Remember when you were mocking people who worked blue collar jobs like at McDonalds? I think I read in a thread where you got "schooled" for making those comments and they came back to haunt you... something about your job at the post office? Can't remember right off... I'm sure someone does tho. I put the "1st take it trumps any & all PM's" rule in place to prevent this kind of thing happening. I asked Green to post the "take its"... he refused. He lost. I've got to address a few things... Those who say I need to maintain my thread more properly... all this occured over a 12 - 15 min time frame. In the minutes waiting for Green to answer me about why he wouldn't post the "take its" is when the other buyer came into play with his own "take it". Really no time to get there first... but I wouldn't of posted them for him anyway. Why? Because as the seller of MY merchandise, I personally WANT the buyer to place that "take it" sign as public proof of our transaction for everyone to see. Now I'm hearing I backed out of the deal to make more money. What was the difference between the Thread price and what I quoted them to you for with all the extras you demanded, Green? Something like $7 or so, not counting the 3 free $2 Hulks you wanted? So figuring those in... it's about $1 extra I made by selling to the person who could take the time to post "take it". Is $1 really an amount worthy enough to tear me away from a deal with Green... who had already spent $100 in another thread of mine? So let's just nip that assumption the "Bio got greedy" right here fellas. $1 won't hardly get 8mile to hand me 3 stamps at the post office, let alone make it worth losing a $100 sale over. It wouldn't matter if Jesus himself told Green to post those signs. I could tell by his attitude toward me from his first response about posting them... that it was beneath him to do so... and I also feel he was offended I even asked. Why I don't know. He has stated that he read my request immediatly and then went to lay down. Why? I as the seller of MY goods on MY thread with MY rules asked him to do this. He didn't do it. He lost. Since I am the seller and those were my rules, it really doesn't matter one way or the other how Green, or anyone else, interpretated it. Green has backed out of the deal we had and I let him do so. The $100 worth of items that he could have had and the other items that he could have secured with a "take it" sign are on their way to someone who didn't have a problem throwing up that little sign. 8mile all you have to do is cast your vote... X amount of people think I'm right and X amount of people think Green is right. No biggie unless you continue to add to it. If he feel shafted, then Green, I am sorry you feel that way bud... hate you lost out on a great deal due to what ever reason you had to not post those signs. No hard feelings on my end.

After the hard fought events of today I figured the only thing to bring spirits back up around here is to have another sales thread loaded with stuff. I'm going to start out with $ 3.69 readers again... then I might drop the bomb and throw in a $9.42 or a $19.69 book that will knock your socks off... well within reason These books are going to priced cheap and I love CRAZY PRICE POINTS. There should be no complaints about the stuff I'm going to put up... but who knows, some people can complain till they are "green" in the face. Let's just have some fun and realize my loss is your gain. Nothing is going over $20 in this thread. I will only apply a grade to the $9.42 or higher books. Anything else listed in the thread is considered a reader, even though it could be much better (rest assured some of the $3.69 books are going to be VF/NM), I just don't want to set around and grade things all night. Going to start up in the Gold/Silver section as about 9pm EST.

Actually, once you confirmed the sale with Green, it then becomes your responsibility to mark it "sold". You really are just trying to skirt around your acceptance of his offer Period. All the rest of the reasoning is irrelevant. and divad... how can I be skirting around acceptance of his offer when I asked him twice to put up the "Take it" sign. I'm not going to beg him sir. Where in the forum rules does it state that it is "my responsibility to mark it sold" too. Especially after asking him to do it... and then asking if he "was sure" when he refused to do it... for no reason other than he was being difficult. This was a 10 - 15 min time frame. He had time to get it in there. I will tell you why I didn't run over and do it for him... because I was too busy packing all the other wins for people who didn't have a problem putting that sign up.

I'm not sure it is that cut and dry, though I don't want to add to the tension. I'm reading this, and "trumps any and all PM's" seems to be clear. But I've also witnessed sellers agree to a sale via PM, and then mark the item as "sold via PM." It appears Bio-Rupp was taking the former approach, and not the latter. Again, this seems to be a disagreement over interpretation of the sales rules. I just don't get why he'd write back and say "Sold!" if the books weren't actually sold - that makes zero sense, Nick :shrug: I guess in a "perfect world", it wouldn't have been that big of a deal for Green to just go and put "take its" up as asked and as the rule states. Twisting the words for his benefit aren't going to get him what he lost fair and square. Wether I said "sold" or not is a mute point if it's in a "PM" and "I'll take its" trump PMs. Thats how its written. Rules change depending on who feels cheated it appears. Why would I even bother putting "take it" trumps PM's... if thats not what it meant. Just answer this guys... was my and Green's deal in a PM? Does my # 1 sales thread rule not say that "take it" trumps PM's? Thats the greatness of the boards... whoever wants to play it cheap and goes the PM route stands the chance to lose. The brave sole not afraid to pay the price listed should always win if he gets to the prize first... and with a "take it" , Mr. Kawfeadikt did win the prize.

It doesn't say anything about the "I'll take it" having to be posted in the actual thread - it just says that the first one posted gets the sale. And as Green was the first to post the "I'll take it", the books are clearly his :shrug: How can he lay claim if his "take it" was within the PM that a "take it" trumps... the semantics are sound to me sir. Plus I'm not having a sale thread in my personal message area... its in public few. Don't understand why this is so hard to comprehend.

Nice catch paul , so not only did he sell the books to someone else after confirming to me they were sold it was also after his thread was closed. So by your logic, when our PM deal was taking place at 11:07, these books were totally off the market? So technically then they weren't for sale... even to you? Is this what you are trying to say?

In no way would Green be on the hook with the sale if your scenario would have went down. Since, as stated in my 1st rule of the sales thread, the trumps any & all PM's. Green would have lost and the other party would be accountable to make good. That's why we have the sign... to show who wins what and time stamp it in a public sales thread to prove it. That's a given, sir. What Green doesn't get and what would have saved his deal, is that sign was asked to be placed in both my 1st posted rule... and in the PM in which our deal took place, to validify our deal and keep someone else from posting the and win it out from under him. What if you were the one who posted "take it" on the lot. Then I PM you and tell you I sold them to another party through a PM... and you see that my 1st rule states trumps any & all PM's" and there is no other to be seen in the thread. Would you feel burned because you did exactly what the rules asked you to do and I changed them behind your back and sold them out from under you? Why didn't Green go post the when I asked him too... especially since it's posted rule # 1. That was my rule and for some reason, even when asked to, he chose not to abide by it.
