  1. That might work... but did I read that correctly in that I have to put each cd in the drive to copy all the info? Or just scan the bar code... or both? The Rupp is confused...
  2. Do you have a list? Gawd no ! Who could list all that and not lose their mind? I do know that I've got a bunch of copies of Vanilla Ice's "Too The Extreme", MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This" cd and at least 15 copies of "The Bodyguard" soundtrack. I may attempt to make a list tho... That could be the first post in our new DVD/CD/Exotic Meats/Shoe & Pocketbook thread. ... well at least the first 15 pages or so....
  3. My wife is looking for a Coach Purse. I was going to add those, too (BTW, they are having a 30% off sale at the outlet stores if she's near one;) Seriously though, I think we would be asking a bit much of our hosts if we added non comic things....like DVDs etc...although I have a few I could easily get rid of:) Hmm I don't know... if I could get rid of the 9000 used CD's that I have from when the store was open, I could buy more comics !
  4. I know we have a Misc section... but would anyone else like to see a section dedicated to just new & used DVD's and CD's? Maybe collectible VHS and Laserdiscs can be included too? Not really comic related... but I personally love buying this type of media and have had nothing but great transactions dealing in this type of merch here. Just a thought. Rupp

  9. CLOONEYTHON II IS STARTING TONIGHT 11PM EST !!!!! Decided to start up a little earlier than the 15th due to frickin' aceing 3 finals and scoring out of having to do my last one. You can actually do well if you study... who knew? Hope everyone has there Teri Hatcher pics ready....
  10. Jon... sir you have no reason to feel this way. In reading your willingness to work out the problem with Alex, your rep is far from being soiled. If anything it shows your desire to solidify your reputation as a quality seller. I, like the rest of us, can only see a snipet of whats happened between you and Alex... but the fact that you want to work with the man shows your willingness to resolve whatever issue he, as the buyer, may have. Jon, I see nothing that you have done to be remotely probation worthy. As you know I recently had a board member throw the threat of the "probation list" at me for simply following the rules of my own sales thread. His arguement was frivolous as well as utterly ridiculous (well at least to me and what looks to be 42% of the "board" at last count), and should have never seen the light of public board record. That said, to Alex... I am in no way calling your concerns frivolous and/or ridiculous. That was my situation, not yours. But it appears that Jon has offered you a conclusion and a resolution to whatever problems you may have. It doesn't appear that he has attempted to deceive you in any way and shows genuine concern for the issue at hand. If you do consider this man a friend, then realize he is making an attempt to make right concerning whatever problems you have with him. This just doesn't read like a "probation" worthy incident with the info at hand. The fact that Jon is showing us his desire to work with you shows his integrity. I think that everyone needs to keep friends like that. PM him & figure out what your and his issues are concerning this and work it out.

  13. Brian jumped out of a plane and dropped no less than ONE BILLION DOLLARS in my ClooneyThon Thanks for Giving Thread! I appreciate this man ... not only for making me the Board's newest billionaire... but for being an all round nice fellow who wasn't afraid to jump into my thread and have some fun. Many thanks sir! Michael
  14. Jeff swooped in and spent a war bond in my ClooneyThon Thanks for Giving Thread! I appreciate this man on a higher level than most mere mortals...not Teri Hatcher levels mind you... but pretty darn high. Many thanks sir! Michael
  15. that's what it sounds like. If that is true, Surely not...
  16. I actually think 2 months is extremely fair. There has to be a cutoff at some point. This is so true. Since you have been extremely lenient with the person in question, he/she should see no problem in your wanting to get to the finish line concerning this transaction. There has to be a cutoff point and it ultimatly should be your decision as the seller to determine that point. If you believe there is a problem with the book, you know its cheaper just to refund what the two of you decide as a fair middle ground... especially since out of country shipping costs are involved. If you have to refund return shipping (since I'm assuming you made a possible mistake in a grade) then its going to just cost you more. If you cut the break to where you can break even and the buyer can sell it for what he's got in it ( and be happy with keeping it) ... then everyone starts at ground zero with no loss, except time, for either side. Again, you have went above and beyond in taking a return after two months... hopefully your buyer will realize that.
  17. Anytime sweetie *smooches* Package sent btw You sent me a package? .... connoisseur?
  18. All depends on you and what you want to do. Previous transactions with the person should tell you if you want to continue to deal with them. It seems that the board has more or less "adopted" a 30 day time frame on everything unless stated otherwise. A buyer has 30 days to make payment on an item and then the seller has a 30 day time frame to ship... at least to avoid the threat of possible "probation". Is 30 days to long to wait for a return? Not sure, as I suppose it would depend on the situation. Does the board have a recommended return time in place at this time? I personally would want it back in less than 7 days after confirmation of receipt... and honestly no later than 2 weeks... which might be your time frame when dealing with international shipping. Seriously tho, no matter how you word your sale terms, someone will find fault with the sematics to make the situation favor them. At least thats how current experiences have been for Rupp.
  19. Are you recommending yourself for the probation list, or the Hall of Shame? You should start a poll. Don't worry... someone will start one for you. Poll.... baaaaaad. Strange Tales 178... goooooooood
  20. Just got two more books (a sweet Killing Joke 9.8 and a Man Who Laughs in the same grade) from Paul and they were awesome & packed with care as always. Paul always has more books that I want. I don't know if I make enough money to have Paul just a few typed, letters away... I can't afford knowing this guy mainly because I know if we kept in constant contact... I would probably lose my dog, car, house, and wife (listed in order of importance). Paul... you've ruined my life... and I thank you
  21. Now that I've posted the above, MachineGunned will sign back up under a different name... we will have one good transaction... and then he will totally rip me off on the next one
  22. As we all know, my sales methods and word sematics made for an interesting Thanksgiving last week. That said, I think I've got this worded to simplistic perfection My wording above that I've used in almost every sales thread, pretty much tells the buyer what he can or can't do and the choice he has in how he wants to pay. I would never want to force someone to use Paypal Personal mainly because I wouldn't want to be forced to use it if I didn't feel comfortable with it. I don't want to be forced to do anything (except post "take its" ) Over time when relationships are forged and friendships are made... then most won't have a problem using the Personal method. Sellers should look at losing that 3 - 4 % in the short run a simple cost of doing business. It's a small investment in future profits once your customer base realizes you are legit and they feel comfortable enough to use Paypal Personal. Usually once I deal with seller and all goes through without any hitches, I have no problem paying via Personal from then on out... I then feel I have a seller I can trust and he doesn't have to lose paypal fees because of that trust.
  23. I've never seen more overgraded krap for sale in the forums then today . . . Links? Can't be my stuff... its all just underpriced krap. "One man's krap is not another man's krap... but it's still krap to the one man... you know the first guy." - George W. Bush 2003
