  1. I now have 80 lots set, should have a consignment of another 20-40 lots soon! I am still open to changing up some lots (why didn't I put Infinite Crisis with Blue Beetle?) and it is a lot of fun honestly. This is my first auction with live auctioneers as I decided to do quarterly auctions of 100+ lots instead of packing a few lots every few days for ebay or the monthly thread here. If anyone wants to give me some feedback, please shoot me a # between 1-80 and I will show you what that lot looks like currently. I am finalizing the date and will have 3 weeks of preview on LiveA and will be taking new pictures before final catalog is submitted. And if anyone is interested in a new selling venue, I would love consignments. I did this because the local guys who sell on LiveA wouldn't take a few boxes at a time without 40% fees. So if anyone wants an additional venue on the down low please PM me to discuss; the benefits are basically selling bulk with no effort or selling lower value keys, slabs and such on a quick turnaround to a large audience through a third party...c'mon, you know you need a way to unload the raffle chit! ;-). I am doing an early Feb auction and then the next will likely be late May. I am hoping to run a practice auction as well if anyone wants to watch me stumble around live. C'mon! If you have a storage unit or 100 boxes, send a few my way and let's see what happens.
  2. yes, I was indeed, like, I hope I am not counting my chickens...
  3. I jumped the line. Poor Moon Girl 5, Qualified Grade!!!
  4. Here are a few more (why not, right?) I am also having a few creator focused lots, Bill Sienkiewicz, George Perez, John Byrne, and Neal Adams so far. also, a key to the fortress of solitude! (don't get too excited, it is a replica!)
  5. I have opened an account on live auctioneers and the first auction is now live (link is a little down the page in another post). This Blazing Comics 6 has the Will Rogers story in it. Lots of improvement possible there as well. "Why, if she was my comic I'd..." "What would you do daddy?"
  6. finally watched it last night, I thought it was well done and great fun. Surprisingly dark, which clashed poorly with the banal humor. I enjoyed it overall found found the tone too inconsistent to be excellent. wifey is mostly a non-comics reader and found it highly derivative...especially of terminator 2 (Furlong teaches Arnold to care, to get a catch phrase etc.) but also other superhero movies so she said it was fine but nothing special
  7. gimme gimme this is #23 Thank you Kramerica!
  8. can someone tag me the order, I cannot find it or just tell me please where are we on the list, which #?
  9. yeah, I used it and sha complained and mikey banned it that day was last straw for me by and large, no more fun here anymore except the raffle! 57 baby!
  10. My offering is TAH15 CGC 9.8 as well as a small and mysterious smattering of modern comics, variants and/or cool covers and such to be determined later.
  11. I pulled all my ebay stuff 2 months ago or so with the anticipation of being an auction house on live auctioneers. Now that I am finalizing the process and watching tutorials it does occur to me that now may not be the best time to start, but this right here is what the bottom line is. So I am going to have my first auction in late January (taking small consignments btw! and making my lots up day to day right now) and where the market is won't stop that, although it will influence what goes in.
  12. Geez, Sy Barry, and at 94! Good for him. I may just have to go, not to see him, but because Harley will be there!
  13. and Arch sayeth...to those who are worthy may the power of the ban hammer be granted...and thus it was so
  14. geez, I should have been watching. I would have made this guy pay more! ;-)
  15. went to Kevin Smith's MMMS at Smodcastle to see Wakanda Forever and he mentioned some movies he hopes to have in the future. Russo Bros have confirmed apparently. Smith and Zack Snyder are both from NJ so Snyder said he would be happy to come to the theater sometime next year when scheduling works out and said something like "I've never shown the JL movie in a theater" to whch KS replied "not yet you haven't". So yeah, that's gonna happen for me. I live 8 minutes away door to door. We missed George RR Martin 2 weeks ago though. We moved in on 11/1, he was there on 11/8 and we hadn't heard about it in time! d'OH! So yeah, Snyder cut on the big screen! w00t w00t!
  16. Back in the day it was Kasra Ghanbari, but not sure if he is still helping Ted.
  17. I am going to this with wifey tomorrow evening, see BP2 with Kevin Smith hosting. she has 2nd foot surgery thurs am, so good way to pass the time for her and keep her mind off it. George RR martin was there last week and we didn't know, I am following them now so won't miss anything that groovy again.
