  1. BRAVO REDHOOK!!! thanks for all of the scans! I haven't seen a good number of them yet. the Many ghosts #34 is one of my favorites though, i love that one! You have a lot from the time period i am just now starting to back into. I always loved the 1973-76 best, so now i am finding the joy in the earlier ones. i have some beauties to scan now....

  6. unexpected #115-118 are just impossible in high grade. Overstreet doubts Wrightson is in this one, but he's in there...
  7. a really beautiful Cardy cover. If you find a glossy highgrade the colors just glow on this one.
  8. more juicy 70's swagger.... one of the brightest colored horror covers...
  9. on my surge to post #2000.... a classic weird war. Sadly i scanned this one 4 days before i got a high grade copy
  10. the story claims to be true, involving a boy whose parents died on the titanic and a family curse about the men in the family all die by drowning. Supposedly this guy had a plane crash into the ocean years & years, but was rescued by finding a titanic life preserver in the ocean. They say the crash was in the papers in 1950. so the guy thinks the curse is over, but ends up drowning a year later. Its told documentray style and the 1st couple pages are all on the titanic & look well researched.
  11. yeah i have seen those with the "BA" in the code before. Thats a sharp copy, i love that dominguez cover.
  12. wow, that Witching hour #1 is REALLY high for a 9.4 already. Yeeesshhh.... I am guessing $567 with ast at the finish... Here is the promised scan, sid

  15. that was probably the first marvel horror i ever bought except for ghost rider back in the day. I pulled it out of a 3 for a $ box. Still lovve that Kane cover Speaking of Marvel & Kane covers, this is not horror per se, but it IS the 1st postcode vampire in comics
  16. sorry sid i was out all night, i'll post that scan tomorrow! I love pre code horror, including EC. I at one point had about 200 pre code comics, but have trimmed that down to 70 or 80 i really love. THere are so many great comics put out then its staggering! I do have to say though that in terms of quality, outside of EC, its pretty much parallel to 70's horror. A lot of people complain about the spanish & filipino artists in the bronze age, but the truth is they draw circles around the stock artists of the 50's. Now there is an undeniable charm associated with 50's layman art, so i am not knocking it, that is one of the reasons i find them irresistable. At any rate i guess i love horror comics in general. I feel i am focusing energy on bronze right now because there is so much undiscovered greatness in it. Love those Sabrina Books by the way!
