  1. thats ok, i hope my site turns people on to some of the incredible Charlton & gold key covers out there....
  2. well i don't have the treasury, but i do know about it! I have abeat copy of the digest with the Kubert pool cover. The HOM digest actually has an otherwise unpublished cain & Gregory inside back cover! I do have the SOHH special too....
  3. hey! speaking of this thread, i am working on a selection of the best covers of the era for my website (Still on track for June, at least DC will be complete by then) and would love some input on what everyone thinks. Are there any obscure ones you love? Which Wrightsons really are better than others. What about Adams......Let me know what you think. I am shooting for 25 "classics" and don't be DC Centric if possible!
  4. that one i did know about some how. I just can't figure how i never saw that ghosts...
  5. this is an obscure ghosts special. I didn't even know about it until recently, i don't know how it slipped under the radar for so long. Is everyone else acquainted with it?
  6. i like that cain is the ref! One of starlin's few horror covers.
  7. i cut you some slack sterling, those ghosts were on my hit list! i won a few last time, figured i wouldn't be too greedy... and yes. Look at the prices, its getting nutty. Meanwhile pre code horror has been selling for under guide. Is it a permenant switch in markets, or temporary fire?
  8. tomb of dracula is good too, its my fave marvel. i am enjoying it again reading the beginning straight through with the essential. I hope they keep going with them!
  9. bravo to sterling for the thread! i have guests for a week so my online time is limited, but i will quick response now, more to come! HOM rules, plain & simple, best covers, writers & artists. When Fleisher hit the title things got dirty like they hadn't since 1954. Oleck is also a much better writer than Kanigher in my opinion & he did the most for HOM. In my opinion #186 is the most solid issue of the run cover to cover and #207 is prob. 2nd. As for ghosts, i do like the title now, i never used to though. There are some really good issues, and some boring ones. #46 has an incredible heart ripped out story for example. HOS has great moments, especially #131 with Fleisher & Suydam turning in a knock out creeping flesh story right out of a fevered nightmare. Witching hour is also solid, especially early on. I also picked unexpected, but the last choice was tough between that & weird war.
  10. i don't know what to say, just jaw droppingly WONDERFUL!
  11. yeah, that daredevil cover is a knock out! The monster is so rediculous, i love it! Everytime i see it ithink i have to get one......
  12. beautiful, just beautiful! i love the dwarfs covers, and those are stunning looking copies! The easter one, just keeps knocking me out, it is such a FUN cover! as for the WDC&S i too love that cover. I often take a lot of heat for this, but i prefer Kelly covers to barks any day!
  13. that is a great find! I love cereal giveaways, and that is about as cool as they got!
