  1. That copy is too hot and expensive like Hulk 181. It gets crazy!
  2. I bought his books in past before his prices went up. If I see him, I will definitely shake his hand. He is a legend in the comic industry.
  3. Thanks. I will create the new thread later. Let's respect 01TheDude here. Wished him gets well and have a speedy recover.
  4. That famous Fire Island....was filmed in 1989 for Longtime Companion. Won some awards and is still in AFI's 100 years - 100 Passion movies. When I was like 31 years old, I was on the theatre touring for two years (living on the suitcases), more than 80% of my cast is gay and didn't accept me (they told me too masculine and straight arrow [I am still straight today]) for a long time. It's near end of my two year contract and I decided to dare them for last time. Everyone had "last supper" at the restaurant after the play ended (actually two more towns then the touring was wrapped) and 15 minutes later I showed up in a drag queen. It took them five minutes and they totally flipped out and laughed so hard. Many of them fell in love with me (finally). They realized that I am just a human being with my goodness and are befriended ever since. It worked for me that ended well. My touring bus driver drooped on me. That was hilarious and good memory! I think the drag queen has a good purpose.
  5. How are you now? I need a positive input. It's only a beginning.
  6. Yes, I do with my family and I enjoy your company too.
  7. Wow, it's serious than mine. Yesterday I had MRI and today I just got a call from my doctor and was informed that I have a pinch nerve between lumber and thorasic spine in my lower back. Will see my back specialist. It's possibly a back surgery. We will be on the same boat. Take it easy.
  8. Hey dude, You are lucky to stay alive. My grandfather, uncle and #2 cousin (38 years old) died of sudden heart attacks without warning not even saying good bye. My dad, my uncles, some cousins and myself have checked routinely with doctors. All of us have coronary angiogram and we are still clear - it may do again if necessary. Two years ago, my uncle had clots removed from his carotid arteries in his neck (it would have a stroke). It's heredity. We keep watching for rest of life. Come back here, get well and stay strong. By the way, since December 21st, I am injured with suspected piriformis syndrome that may pinch my sciatica nerve that weakens my right leg and caused numbness in my knee. Had MRI yesterday and will see my back specialist tomorrow morning after three weeks of waiting. I hope it is not a permanent injury.
  9. I am waiting for it too. Also you never tell us what book.
  10. I wished I did. I passed your shop at all the time but I managed buying comic books and magazines at 7 11 store and White Hen Pantry near my home by biking. Eventually I moved to California for ten years until the recession hit. Moved back to my hometown where we live. Sorry I missed your nostalgia and glory time but I am happy that we met and become acquainted recently. I started to buy comic books again in mid-1990's at Comix Revolution (your ex store) at old Randhurst Mall. I just learned that your friend Ben who was passed away only 6 years ago. It seemed not that long time ago.
  11. No way, I live in Arlington Heights in most of my life but I was only 24 years old by that time.
  12. Red or grey sky, fog, old mansion, long narrow path and face or figure in background were used again and again.
  13. Did the dealer know about the value of this book? I guessed the dealer had no idea about it.
