  1. Graders do not go to most shows unless it is on-site grading. CSRs being away doesn't help what you want. The graders are going to the shows too. I talked with the leader at the show last April. The half stays and other half go.
  2. I checked the first post on this thread. There was usually 100+ business days turnaroud. The few last posts showed 40 to 60 business days turnaround during the high peak this year. The first post was back in 2012. It shows little improvement on the time management. I think CGC still needs hiring more people to speed up the process. Maybe they need two teams. One team will be at the show while other team stay at the building in Sarasota. It will never delay on all turnarounds again. I have only one book that was mailed recently to my dealer. Wait until the high seasonal is over then I will send my books in November. I don't have to wait or keep checking on my order status.
  3. You are not alone. I had the same reason and didn't look back. Gladly I did. Thanks for reminding me how I ended up here ever since. That banner ad led me here. Thanks CGC.
  4. Not bad. It is better than three years ago (8 to 12 weeks waiting).
  5. Will it work on PC or Mac? That is a N00B question!
  6. CGC Census shows 149 graded comic books for Cerebus #1. Whooping 6842 graded books for Hulk #181. Many raw grade copies are always selling on ebay everyday. From 9.9 to 9.0, there are 1851 graded books for Hulk #181 included Qualified, SS and Restored. There are only 2 at 9.4 and 4 at 9.0, 3 at 9.4 SS, 3 at 9.2 SS, 5 at 9.0 SS and one restored at 9.0. That is the total of 18. How often do you see Cerebus #1 on eBay? Not very often. I sold one raw grade copy and three CGC copies of Cerebus #1 since 2009. I sold Hulk #181 seven times since 2009. Right now, it is too expensive to buy Hulk #181 at any grade - too many competitors are after it. MSC recently sold Hulk #181 1.0 for $375, 1.5 for $450 and 3.0 for $750. I would afford Cerebus #1 because of the few competitors. I bought it for only $325 and got CGC 7.5 that was sold for $665 via Comiclink last year. So few high grade Cerebus copies are hardest to get. You won't see them for a long time. I can understand why Overstreet gave Cerebus the high value over Hulk 181 because of rarity in high grade. I have no problem to find Hulk #181 between 9.0 to 9.6 anywhere at anytime.
  7. Very strange. One guy recently asked me if I still had Bubble Variant CGC 9.8 SS signed by Nate. I told him that I sold it for $220 in May 2013. I have been wondering why I don't get any newer Nowhere men issues ever since even I am on the subscription from my LCS. Is Nate screwing up something with his health or mental?
  8. I never had or read GI Combat #86 but that cover reminded me of the story in Weird War Tales #1. Is that story in GIC #86 same one in WWT #1?
  9. Yeah, I was almost flipped out but I still stood on my feet and looked hard at the cover. Realized it was reproduced.
  10. You didn't keep a copy Andy? Sadly, I did not. I am shocked too.
  11. It has been quiet. Lin Pictures has Jeff Smith's movie right. I consistently checked with boneville.com to see if there are any recent updates on developing the Bone movie. It came empty. The last update was 2012. Do you have any brightest idea of whenever the Bone movie comes out? I don't think it will ever happen in few more years. Jeff Smith may slow it down or the production company keeps frog-leaping the Bone movie projects with other movie projects. What is your thought?
  12. I sold WD #1 for 9 times. Three 9.8s Three 9.6s (both signatures series) One 9.2 (signature series) One 9.2 One raw copy (it looks 9.4) There was no difference in prices as far as I remembered both have black and white Mature Readers.
  13. I waited for the next issue and always wanted to know what happened next but this may be uncompleted. I felt like that I was cut off since Atlas Comics went bankrupt. Planet of Vampires, Ironjaw and all other books were gone uncompleted.
  14. Now, your information convinced me to keep the book. Thanks for this!
  15. Looked like Alan wrote last two letters that got sloppy. I believe mine should be legit. I hope. I have 14 days to return it back to the dealer.
  16. All signatures seemed legit but the middle seemed the signature was pressed down. I just wondered if you have them. Do you see any signatures are pressed down?
  17. Will you able to confirm this certificate and signature that are authenticity? It's a first time that I have it in my hands. Luckly, I have the past experience in the printing and graphic design before Internet. Also, I did my homework about Mircaleman #1 Gold Edition. Please confirm this is authenticity. Mircaleman #1 has a common crease printing on the front cover: The signature on the first page: The ink bleed and embossed signature on the second page: The certificate has glossed ink that light reflects: The numbered marks do not reflect:
  18. Thanks to Seanfinn. You just listed #214 on eBay. It will be delivered to my house tomorrow!
  19. Relax dudes! Back to 70's, when I was a kid. There were a lot of Silver and Bronze Age books in those garage sales and flea markets even you could find them in 25 or 50 cent bins. There were plenty of them. Fast forward to today. You don't often see them like in 70's but we have so much Modern Age books around here. We will go fast forward to 20-30 years from now. You probably won't see those Modern Age books anymore.
  20. A few folks mentioned that for a brief period of time a second action 1 in 9.0 was on the census (last year). It was removed, I'm sure at the request of the owner. Don't think it affects lower grade values one iota Maybe the owner was unhappy with the grade and wanted it to be pressed and regraded. The label was included. While the book is being graded, the certification number was removed from CGC census so the second 9.0 grade was omitted. I would suspect the current owner is hoping for the highest single graded on the census.
