  1. I intend to pull the book out of the bag before writing with the marker. Let it dry for few minutes before putting the fresh white board into the bag to see if there is any streak mark on the board.
  2. Hello to War Comic collectors, I am hooked with OAAW, G.I. Combat and OFF since I was a boy. That is about 40 years ago back in 1973. Right now, I own about 900 of them and half of them are CGC'ed. I know everybody prefer Spidey, Avengers, Batman, Superman or any key issues because of marketable and demands. Do you think I waste my money on the war comic books? However, I always love them. Do you think it is mistake to collect them even I won't stop?
  3. Hmmm. Off topic too. Will Robert Kirkman attend NYCC this year? My authorized CGC dealer has my book for just a case.
  4. Today is the buyer's market due to the soft economy. Once the economy is fully recovered, it will be the seller's market. It will be interested in three more years until Obama's 2nd term is over and see what happened in ahead of us. I used to own many doubles like you and others. Now, I am down to singles only. Tough time!
  5. 2402 pages of countless posts on this thread is impressive so I think counting the posts can be something.
  6. Links? This is all from memory, but it happened. I remember the term "art thief" being thrown around and a lot of butthurt. I found the link...thank Google: Swiping So..Anthony Castrillo is the copycat artist and scam artist and con artist as many faces of the artist in general? I thought his name was mafia.
  7. Pardon my curiosity, what is so important about this issue?
  8. You got a handsome profit for Peter Panzerfaust #1 CGC 9.6 while ToT1 and Saga 1 are going down except Saga 1 RRP and ToT1 ComicPro. I just got a grade for PP #1 with two signatures but I won't know the grade until it is shipped next week. Hopefully, I will get the huge and prettiest profit on it.
  9. I have two full sets of Thief of Thieves. Hold them until AMC is ready to air this new show.
  10. Jeff's signature fees are donating to CBLDF. I don't think CBLDF have anything to sell Jeff Smith's books online right now.
  11. Hopefully, he did for the cause once. I understood that he was off guard by few complaints about Sex, Drugs, Alcohol and others in his books to protect their kids. His cause is to defend his Bone as well as others. Hopefully, it was one time for him this year. After #12 issue, each NM/M condition issue is only $6 to $10 worth against $30 signature per copy plus $35 Signature Series Modern Tier per copy. Go figures. No one will buy any issues after #12. Once again, hopefully, he will sign each book for free like old days before the movie is released within few years. See what happens at SDCC in July. To be continued.
  12. He took a year off then he was back to the convention. I was excited but I was extremely disappointed that he wanted $30 per copy. That WAS other reason that I was insane!
  13. Unless the movie premiere promotes on TV, I will be ....... ... .... ^^ ... maybe myself. Jeff Smith recently refused to sign my comic books unless $30 per copy (he was at CBLDF booth) and has given his authorizations to the movie makers while changing many hands until the movie is ready. It has been 5 fudging years! Hopefully, he will sign my books at SDCC unless he is back to his old self. He drives me into.... ...for real! I can't wait to sell my Bone collection to the public before the movie is being released. I have a reason to be insane.
  14. The last message was back to April 5th this year. It was too quiet for this thread so far. Any new updates on Bone movie? It was awfully too quiet!!! It goes same on ebay --- too quiet!!
  15. Tony Moore is getting weird for now. I went to his booth at C2E2 and asked his assistant (she is a weirdo gothic punk too) about the sketch. She said he is not doing the sketches anymore. I had him drawing my books for three years in a row until now. Tony is getting more weirder and sues Robert's BUTT twice! Weird-0
  16. My wife's college friend Karen died suddenly. She was only 37. No one has a chance to say good bye. My wife has not seen her in 11 years. It was saddened So.... I pray for your friend Fay.
  17. I am kind of surprised that Neal Adams was assigned to do Our Army at War issues but he refused the assignment due to Vietnam War. That was a long time ago. So he was willing to do the sketch of Sgt Rock in a behalf of Joe Kubert. I am thinking about that in August that Neal Adams will be there in Chicago. Show us the sketch if you can!
  18. That was MY old book! No, it is a different one that is currently on eBay. No wonder that book has not sold for months. I mentioned him about my former book was sold for only $1700 and of course he didn't reply me.
  19. Jeff Smith sat in CBLDF booth for only one hour. Just curious---how many people did he sign in one hour? I was not there but who were there. Who can tell us about it.
  20. I was just told the same thing - that Jeff is only signing at the CBLDF booth and it's $30/signature. I'm a CBLDF member and don't mind supporting them, but $30/signature is outrageous - my books will probably end up unsigned as well ... Yeah, I heard about this a few weeks ago with the private signing that Jake was trying to arrange. I'm with you Michael, I don't mind if he charges a little for a good cause like CBLDF but $30 is way over the top. From what I understand, this was all CBLDF's doing so I don't know how much input he had on the matter. I feel bad for the kids who probably looked forward to meeting him and getting their color TPBs signed. From all the stories I've ever heard about Jeff, he's always gone out of his way to sign everybody's books for free. I think this is definitely a first. +1 I'm sure he's only charging to do a fundraiser for the charity. He is one of the nicest and coolest creators out there. He usually does quick sketches for free too. He did the fastball special sketch in my sig for free. I missed Jeff Smith at C2E2 two years ago but my books were signed under CGC's care. Hopefully, I will meet him somehow! Thanks for the head ups.
  21. There's a very slight possibility that the Bone movie will come out in 2014. Last month, the director, PJ Hogan (Peter Pan), was attached to direct a movie called "And So It Goes" with Michael Douglas which was planned for a 2014 release but now it's a Rob Reiner film. This tells me that they're experiencing some delays so my best guess is 2015 at the earliest. Good! Their delays help me buying more times. Hopefully, Jeff was doing it for CBLDF once and he may eventually sign the books without a charge -- maybe a little charge like Neal Adams' normal charges are $10 for CGC SS and $5 for non CGC signings. I missed Joe Kubert's reasonable charges were first signing book for free then $5 per book. CGC's turnaround for Modern is now trimmed down to about 85 days. I have to wait for SDCC until July. Hopefully Jeff Smith will able to sign 20 to 25 books without a single charge if I have to beat the time frame for the movie being released. Fast Track Modern turnaround is too much money for my blood. My books can be graded by October/November then I can buy more time on few remaining Bone issues for Jeff Smith's next comic convention --- I have a feeling that he will be at NYCC. Any idea what is his next comic convention after SDCC?
  22. Based on the future Bone movie, I would love to complete my Bone collection - signed or not before the movie is released. When will the movie is released? Hope that Jeff is doing for CBLDF once.
