  1. 2nd page no more This beauty is on ebay with an already strong top bid with several days left. I believe this book was in Comic Connect's auction not too long ago and sold for a modest price.
  2. Well, the doozy is now on Bob's website. It's real and it is spectacular! http://www.highgradecomics.com/article.php?dynamic=book_details&id=92962 Great book, Bob. (thumbs u
  3. Awesome! Not only a double cover but a great wrap on that gem. Congrats!
  4. That book makes me loins tingle I'm jonesing for Bob to post that book. Probably have to wait until after SDCC.
  5. Whoa! That was fast. Congrats on the sale.
  6. You'd be lucky to find an 8.5/9.0 raw for $250.
  7. That 9.0 went for close to what a nice 9.2 sold for the same day. Chalk one up for Sparklecity for high definition scans and marketing. Dover listed his 9.8. Nicely centered and better PQ than the other 9.8.
  8. Nice copy, Brian. I put in a tracking bid early on that one and thought it would go for much higher than what you ended up picking it up for. Congrats! (thumbs u
  9. Nice! Real cool story! What was the price? And do you kick yourself for not also buying the FF 1??? WOW that looks like a HG copy slab it it might be top graded copy nice ROI on $250 buck investment. I'd love to find a nice copy. Funny thing about Pre Hero's is this monster appeared about 5 different times under different aliases. Until they came up with a kick azz name (thumbs u That is a great story and copy, Red!
  10. Care to elaborate on the "slippery path of pre-code horror.? It's addictive. That's exactly it, I figured if I kept the CSS #22, I'd have to get Tomb of Terror #15, Horrific #3, Chamber of Chills #19, Weird Mysteries #5, and so on and so on. I had to stay focused and stick to "superhero" books. Variety is the spice of life.
  11. Fantastic piece, Scott! I like the redrum reference as well, from "the Shining". Great stuff.
  12. That splash page is awesome. Slightly off topic, if anyone is looking for a 222 in high grade, Bob Storms listed this gem. http://www.highgradecomics.com/article.php?dynamic=book_details&id=93453
  13. I like when you post in this thread because you never know what the hell you are going to post. It could be an Oreo fairy, a $100k painting or literature that would have landed you in the principals office in 1956. Pretty cool. I agree. Nice books, Jimmy! I really dig the CS 24.
  14. My first Atlas. The gloss on this book is outstanding.
  15. Wow, somebody wanted the CL 9.4 real bad. $1,899 ? Must have been the CVA sticker.
  16. Sweet copy, RJS! (thumbs u
  17. Nice book lani! Congrats and part of the proceeds went to a great cause.
