  1. Long before Dark Souls 1 & 2 and Demons Souls, there was Final Fantasy Tactics and possibly the most maddening boss fight ever in a video game at the time. I did beat this boss, but only after having to restart the game entirely after not being able to come close to winning with my current character build. Bear in mind, the boss fight in this article is a good 30 hours into the game, http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2013/04/24/moments-final-fantasy-tactics-boss-battle-against-wiegraf.aspx
  2. Best spy/espionage game on PS1 by far, but FF7 has got to be somewhere on the best game for the system list.
  3. i think you should leave dark souls 2 to be the last one you play. this would be my order of playing them Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z Castlevania Lords of Shadow II Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Thief Batman: Arkham Origins Dark Souls II Dark Souls II will consume you.......in a good way.
  4. DKS's II definitely feels like the difficulty has been raised, tougher enemies, less souls per kill and weapons that break fairly regularly. I do like the inclusion of more healing items, and weapon buffs, and the inclusion of more Covenants to join. Also, being able to revert to human while away from a bonfire is a welcome addition. Summoning other players is more consistent as well, not nearly as many failed summon messages. The black armor edition exclusive weapons are pretty much useless, too weak and the stats you need to use them you won't have until 4-5 hours in the game. I'm still using my starting Longsword upgraded to +3.
  5. Xboned again..... I do sympathize, I can remember trying to download the first Fallout 3 expansion and getting nowhere because Microsoft didn't anticipate the site traffic.
  6. I was just about to ask who got their copy and what do they think so far. The loss of HP for every death reminds me a lot of Demons Souls.
  7. That's an insane accomplishment, congrats. Thanks I died so many times in the game I lost count So is it fun or just very difficult? It sounds incredibly tedious from what I've read, but also like a lot of fun The fun is in the challenge, and the sense of accomplishment when you defeat a boss that has bashed your skull in over and over. It's not a game that you can just rampage through.
  8. Just finished the main story last night. Did you get Artorias of the Abyss?
  9. City, that game was damn near perfection. I can't get into Origins at all, it feels way too clunky and it really shows it was made by a different developer. I was disappointed that the Azrael and Hush snippets from City weren't followed up into something that was more integral to the main storyline. A prequel really killed my excitement over that. Completely agree, didn't even finish Origins.
  10. I know what you mean Have you been to Tomb of the Giants yet? That's a tough level too. Dark Souls is the most evil game I've ever played It's more evil than Ghost & Goblins :pullhair: I can't tell how many times I died in the game (enough to make the Grim Reaper retire early ) Tomb of the giants is tough, but you can bait the enemies to attack one by one, whereas in Blighttown they swarm. And Blighttown has those snipers who can make you toxic with two hits from their darts. Ok, to revise my previous claim that Blighttown was pure evil. Sen's Fortress, is pretty evil too.
  11. Is this the Ryan Elliot CGC 8.5 upgraded to a PGX 9.6 AV4? http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=460545
  12. The digital copies on PS3 and Xbox have the DLC as well, and I actually like the original graphics, as the PS4/Xbox One version changes the face and body to fit the new actress (why, I have no idea?) - I prefer the original Lara myself. What Has Happened to Lara Croft's Face in PS4 Port Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition? http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2014/01/what_has_happened_to_lara_crofts_face_in_ps4_port_tomb_raider_definitive_edition They also got rid of the "grim and gritty" Lara in favor of a more PG-line: Honestly, from this limited footage, I like the original face better, though Ill have to reserve final judgement for when I play the game itself. Theres also a tangential critique about Croft not looking as gritty and dirty in the new footage, when the old version of the character was constantly covering in blood, mud and grime. The PS3 version is pretty grisly in some parts. Especially the quick time events that could result in your horrible mutilating death. I enjoyed that last Tomb Raider, and I've never been a fan of that series.

  14. I made it through perhaps the most evil video game level ever conceived over the weekend, Blighttown. if you play or have played Dark Souls you will understand why I think this game level is pure evil.
  15. I've heard mean things about Dark Souls. But harder than GnG? That's a bold statement. Same with Battletoads. My friend got so pissed playing this game, he launched the whole system across his yard ,into the street. Dark Souls is where it's at, love it/hate it at the same time. I played the original Demon's Souls, I thought it was brutal until I played Dark Souls. Cannot wait for Dark Souls 2 in March, got the launch day off from work just to play and spend my time dying over and over.
  16. Too bad the launch games are so , I regret trading my PS3 towards my PS4. Can't wait for Dark Souls 2, kept my 360 for just this reason.
  17. Check the 48 for duplicate pages, little known printing error on that issue, very desirable and high grade copies go for big dollars.
  18. Two Star Wars 1 .35 cent variants on the Bay both graded 9.0, funny thing is they have the same CGC serial. I think the bestincomics listing is legit, I've done a few deals with them and always felt good about the results. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Star-Wars-1-35-Cent-Price-Variant-CGC-9-0-WHITE-PAGES-VERY-RARE-/161193661274?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item2587e4135a http://www.ebay.com/itm/Star-Wars-1-35-Cent-Price-Variant-CGC-9-0-WHITE-PAGES-Rare-Cover-Price-Variant-/251374566321?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item3a87177bb1
  19. I had a 9.6 that I sold in April, still regretting it. I love that cover.
