  1. Is it then clear to you why Reedus appears to know who got killed when the rest of the cast is claiming that they don't know and the producer has described the lengths he went through to hide the identity of the dying character from the cast? Maybe because he and Nicotero are tight? He also says that he knows "what" happened but doesn't say he knows "who" it happened to. Which, full disclosure, I'm going on the transcribed portion of that post. I'm at work and cannot watch the video.
  2. Think it's pretty clear at this point that Daryl lives. Reedus can post a picture of a toilet on Instagram and get hundreds of thousands of likes. He's the breakout star of the show. People wear shirts that say "If Daryl dies we riot!" and they're not kidding. Lots of theories out there because Reedus is a hot ticket, with a new show and movies coming out. I think he's too pivotal in the show. He's Rick's #2. The more I think about it, the more I believe it's Abraham. And still, it's going to suck for whomever it is to do all the press this summer, just to be a dead pile of gray matter on the ground 10 minutes into the first episode in October.
  3. We will all know by this summer - stuff will leak out. Casting lists will get out. I sort of feel bad for whomever bit it. They will have to do press all summer knowing that their character is dead in the story already.
  4. They sort of did the same thing to Rick with his nervous breakdown. Now it looks like he's going through it again.
  5. In a word - yes. The comic didn't leave us in a cliffhanger. We knew who it was by the end of the issue. It's one thing to leave us with a cliffhanger at the end of a season (like they did with Terminus). It's another thing to leave us with the entire season building up to this one moment and making us walk away unsatisfied. The "He's taking it like a champ" comment makes me think it's probably Glen. I guess we'll have to wait until October to find out.
  6. Might be a long shot, but I'm looking for a high grade copy of Famous Monsters of Filmland 59. Just found out Gogos is going to be at Heroescon!!
  7. Regardless, I'm shocked at the prices the second prints of that run are pulling. Did not realize that the 2nd print of WD 100 (black Negan cover) was hitting $100: http://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-WALKING-DEAD-100-NM-NM-1ST-APPEARANCE-OF-NEGAN-2ND-PRINT-/331799528961?hash=item4d40cb0601%3Ag%3AbRMAAOSwAuNW4blR&nma=true&si=ppF2dg1abeDDngyMwpK3x0A3axg%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  8. Wait - STLcomics site is gone? That was my go-to spot for Whitman info.
  9. To be fair, it opened 3 weeks after E.T. and was competing at the box office against a Rocky movie, a Star Trek movie, and two classic horror films in Poltergeist and the Thing. Heck - Conan and Porky's were still pulling in dollars that opening weekend. Not to mention Annie was in theaters as well. I think timing had more to do with the movie being a box office disappointment.
  10. If anyone reading this has never seen Blade Runner, do yourself a favor and run down to your local Big Lots. I see copies of the director's cut on their DVD rack in pretty much every location I've stopped in. I picked up my copy while they were running a sale. Think I got it for $3.
  11. I had a feeling when I opened this thread there would be discussion about which cut of the movie is the best overall. In my opinion, Blade Runner is an amazing movie that was largely overshadowed at the time it was released, and I honestly sort of like that. Blade Runner is the type of movie that you can show someone who never saw it 32 years ago and watch them get floored by it. Unlike some other movies from the same period, Blade Runner still holds up. Its a great, tragic story. It was ahead of its time by years. Rutger Hauer's death monologue at the end is brilliant. The movie is worth watching just to see that one single scene!
  12. Am I wrong in thinking thats good considering you pay $0 for the comic? I'm holding onto mine until the movie. My 7 yr old is already hinting that he wants to be Star Lord for Halloween. I'm thinking this characters popularity will soar after the movie, and drive prices of some books up. If you hadn't spent money at Gamestop you wouldn't get it for 0 Yeah but that wasn't money I invested with the intent of getting a comic out of it. That was money I would've spent anyway for Christmas gifts. In fact, had the whole ASM 1 thing happened, I wouldn't have even looked at the PowerUp rewards site.

  14. For folks who still have PowerUp Rewards points to redeem at Gamestop, might be worth looking into the Legendary Star Lord #1 Gamestop exclusive. I got mine in the mail yesterday and was surprised to see what some of the completed eBay listings were going for: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=legendary+star+lord+gamestop&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc
  15. I think that if McFarlane would let someone else take over as writer for Spawn that interest in the character would be on the rise again. The story is slow and convoluted and doesn't really provide a good jumping on point for someone who has never read Spawn, or hasn't read Spawn in a long time. Heck, the letters column in the book presently isn't even about the story. It's 99% fanboys asking Todd questions about his work 20+ years ago and about action figures. I only buy the book for future speculation. The print run is low and later issues of the run are always hard to find in high grade. I think there's a great character in Spawn, but for some reason (pride maybe?) McFarlane is sort of letting it wither away. I think Spawn has over the years provided broader appeal in media than Deadpool, but that will or could change if Deadpool is given a proper movie treatment.
  16. Such a shame, was going to post the mediation results there when paypal, the bbb and the bank all did their investigation and made their decision.. ah well.. When they ask mycomicshop how they got your old address and they respond by saying "its was the address provided through his paypal payment" - what's your response going to be?
  17. The North Myrtle indoor market has NOTHING of significance in it. Neither does the outdoor market in Little River. Might have to drive down to MB and check that place out. Pretty sure last time I was down there that place wasn't a flea market.
  18. What can I say? I've been waiting for my ship to come in. Peace, Chip Was this the indoor flea market in North Myrtle? And did you still buy them?
  19. I pulled 2 301's and 3 302's out of a dollar box this past weekend at Heroes. They are all VF and well worth $1.
