  1. This seller just sold 2 for $20. He had 3 of these 2 book sets.
  2. I asked Tim Seeley on Twitter and he confirmed that it is an ongoing series.
  3. That's Sean as a zombie on the left in the glasses. Now I see him in Rick and Michonne too. Rick's hair is Sean's for sure Sean talks about the process for this cover, including photo references.
  4. I ordered it after reading about it in Previews. Sounds interesting. Issue 1 is out July 11.
  5. Here's an old Walking Dead thread from 2006 which discusses prices. It looks like #1 was selling over $100 in 2006.
  6. Buy Kirkman & Buy Often How many copies of Haunt & Astounding Wolfman do you own? i've got boatloads of SuperPatriot, Brit, Capes, Tech Jacket and MTU as well. I'm gonna be filthy stinkin rich. I agree the guy don't gold. Haunt isnt burning up the charts. Too many people read these boards for advice like that to be given. Another of his titles that comes to mind is Super Dinosaur.
  7. Fiona was asked at WonderCon if she regretted working digitally because she couldn't sell the original pages. Her answer: "I don't really care about selling the original art. I guess my first concern is doing the comic as well as I can and as fast as I can. Working digitally is the best way I can do that…I don't want to change my process and go out of my way to [sell pages.] To me, the printed comic is the finished product. I'm lucky enough to be able to make a living just by selling 'Saga' for now. I sometimes have prints to sell. I do little sketchbooks sometimes, but no pages."
  8. I love looking at these old ads - these are all from Detective Comics 75.
  9. Data shows that New X-Men was selling more than UXM which would make sense since I remember Grant Morrison having a fairly successful run on NXM. NXM # 128 had a print run of 106,190 while UXM #407, which came out the same month, had a print run of 94,855.
  10. Reminds me of back in the day...when the Clone Saga was as hot as WD is now, and at a convention the dealer next to me, after watching me sell through a dozen copies of ASM #149 at just stupid prices, traded me his entire booth (6 long boxes of books, 25 sets of cards, and 2 dozen carded action figures) + $75 for my last copy of #149 which was no better than F/VF. You have to love how insane some people can get in this hobby.
  11. The site is Comic Chronicles and last few Walking Dead Weekly books had print runs between 3400 and 3900.
  12. Image announced there will be a 2nd and 3rd printing of issue 1. THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS the newest Image Comics series by Jonathan Hickman and Nick Pitarra also has a first issue that is receiving a third printing after orders for its second printing surpassed the print run. A story in the print and online versions of USA Today and rave reviews accompanied the series debut on March 7. “The Manhattan Projects is off to a tremendous start, one of the big concept author’s strongest, most inventive opening chapters,” wrote Paul Montgomery in his review at iFanboy. THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS creates an alternate reality where the real-life project to develop the atomic bomb is just a front to hide far more bizarre government programs. The creative team of Hickman and Pitarra previously collaborated on THE RED WING, also published by Image Comics. THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS #1′s second printing will be on sale on April 4, with the third printing (FEB128156) following on April 18. THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS #2 will be in stores on April 11.
  13. Image announced there will be a third printing. The second printing of SAGA #1 will be in stores on the same day as #2, April 11, and the third printing will be on sale on April 25.
  14. From the June solicitations: "Remember last year when CHEW shocked, confounded and enraged the entire comic book industry and indeed the entire world by printing an issue out of sequence? Here’s that issue all over again, in order and in context, and now jam-packed with extras and supplemental material so you’ll feel just fine about handing us 299 pennies all over again!"
  15. I just received a tweet that you can buy some of Nick Pitarra's art from the first issue here.
  16. I missed it. It was sold out at my LCS. I'll have to look for it elsewhere.
  17. I tried the link for modern but get a message that the URL is not found? I have since change things around a bit. You can now go to The Market and view a new filter option on the right hand side when viewing comics in the Modern Age. The new filter is called "Comics Heating Up". Sorry for the confusion. Some of the books are no-brainers. Like Chew #1 for example. But some of the books that come up are really interesting and no one seems to be talking about them. So you still have to do a little mental filtering when viewing the list. I see it now. Thanks!
